If you knew something about the sport youd be able to easily articulate why Messi is better. But you can't because he's not. He's just shorter and uglier.

Man that sucks for Juventus

to put together this 6 year run in Serie A and go 0-2 in CL finals blows.

Not sure what they're supposed to do to ever win a CL final .... if not this year, then when. Don't see how they'll ever have a stronger team than they had this year ..... maybe they have a season where they run like God and win it undeservedly.

yeah, I don't think so. got pissed for some decisions where we could haven gotten/got screwed in easy matches. I think I only said once I want him out, more as a joke, against Napoli away iirc, when Napoli were bullying us in our own half of the pitch.

Man this was easily the most nervous I've ever been and probably the happiest as well. Can't really realize what we've done right now. Easily the best squad in RM's history imo, so complete and trully a team right now. I don't like to give that much credit to Zidane and his staff, but I know their job is very important, even with the best squad itw.

Superbe performance tonight, I told you I'm not that impressed about Juve's only 3 goals received in this CL, this was supposed to be their hardest test.

So happy and grateful that Real Madrid and this squad in particular are the first team to retain their CL title. It felt only right to be so. I feel very priviliged to witness history being made.

For the people that enjoyed RM's win and Cristiano's triumph, please ignore these haters. Don't let them bother you in the slightest. I like to needle Barca/Messi fans, but there's really no debate in the last years. Just take a look at how their subconscious works, pay attention to when they initiate this debate. When Ronaldo is absolutely thriving. Why? Because they need to validate Messi somehow, they need to make him relevant and even though there is no argument possible, they will always invent one, no matter how pointless it is, it will make them sleep better. These are weak people who can't admit defeat, they're very often like that irl as well, football aside.

It's like that tale(?), with a man, a woman and a donkey, walking down the road. When the man was riding the donkey, the jealous people said he's not a man, because the wife should ride it. When the woman would ride it, the people would say poor donkey, he shouldn't be used like that. And when both were walking by the donkey, the people would call them stupid for not riding the donkey.

Jelous people will always be like that, they will never change. You need to be strong and secure to admit defeat/you're wrong and things didn't go the way you wanted/thought they would go. They will often repeat the same things, somehow like a mantra, without any argument to back it up, just because it makes them feel good. Don't let their bitterness and jealousy get in the way.

So happy right now, I'm really grateful for being so privileged.

Not too happy with some of the recent contract extensions but generally the management has done a superb job building and somewhat reinventing the team and I could easily see them being at a similar level in contention or if things go right even better some of the coming years.

Yeah congrats to Real. They're superb team at this point.

It was a must way back when Casemiro became an integral part of the midfield, now inserting Isco over Bale, even if he isn't a better player individually (they're so different anyway) it has made the team stronger/more complete, arguably the very best in the world right now. Something I would definitely have argued against not long ago at all. Even when they were winning all these games.

As an added bonus with Isco as part of the Modric, Kroos, Casemiro midfield they also matched up particularly well against previously mentioned Juventus weaknesses (with many complications Juve had worked around them against other opponents which had turned my original worries surrounding these exact lineups into optimism) and they were the first team to really take advantage as seen in the 2nd where they outplayed them badly.

In the period before the 2-1 I was already busy slamming my head against the table in frustration over how things were going.

It's a long time ago but the final loss to Dortmund/Lars Ricken is still the worst one as I felt Juventus were particular outstanding at that moment in time with Zidane in full flow well on his way to become the best player in the world. The team itself had improved from the CL winning campaign the year before, also with the emergence of Vieri, and was the best in the world but unfortunately not rewarded

Dortmund were also very good but that upset hurt.

Next year losing to Real the performances were more scrappy. Del Piero had fully emerged but Inzaghi unfortunately replaced Vieri already. I also quite liked that Real team to be honest and was actually somewhat into them winning the European Cup again and I just remember the game as very close.

grats to rits & various other ghw's poppin' out of the woodwork, too. enjoy.

it was nice to see ronaldo doing something useful in a cl final for a change, thus firmly cementing his place as the potential numero dos oat.

What? Ever? Their team in the late 90s was better.

Anyways, they've lost guys like Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba, Morata, Tevez in recent season but yet look stronger and better. No reason they can't improve again, the have money and can pay wages. The Milan clubs have new owners which should push them harder and make them better.
