You're confused about deflections not counting towards offside decisions?

Apparently, it took so long because they were checking if the deflection was intentional or not, if it was then the goal would've stood

Hmmm. Lolspurs so its nice. But I would be fuming had that happened against us.

Deciding whether a deflection was intentional or not seems really dodgy. The ball was headed backwards as well so not even going towards the striker. The defender creates the chance for him, I just dont know man.

But the robbery is against Spurs and it was a nice change of pace when I was dreading the last minute spurs winner then Conte got sent off a minute later while I was taking a wizz.

Direction of the ball makes no difference you can be offside from a backwards pass, say you mishit a pass and it went backwards and a guy ran from an offside position to collect the ball he'd still be offisde so yeah it was the right decision

Still harsh though and took way too long, a 60-90 second clock shot for VAR and umpires call sort of thing should be implemented imo, if VAR can't decide within that time then stick with the original decision

it's awful even when they get all the decisions right. this is all supposed to be entertainment. and spending 5 min checking for whether the ball hit a shoulder or a arm of a guy or whether another was 1-2 cm on the right/wrong side is ruining the fun

you could cut the tension with a knife during those VAR minutes

how is that not entertainment?
