can anyone tell me what this means - in fantasy terms - for Wheeler?
i stashed wheeler myself for this situation, i didnt think it would be so quick that i'd be checking the houston papers online.

how long till the astros give up on him and trade lidge for young pitching?

In actuality, it doesn't reflect well on the fans whether their team has won the world series 15 times or 0 times.

I think you meant to say "26 times or 0 times".

And since you are so proud of their NL Pennant in 2005 we can just do 39 times to 1 time if you would like.

Man that felt good
Of course, the Yankees are #1 in baseball for

- WS titles
- pennants
- douchebag fans

as you so adequately proved again with your post.

Ehh, I wouldn't be so quick to call me on douchebaggery, I wouldn't have pulled that post off on you, probably only aceshigh.

I know for a fact that a portion of the booing is directed towards Garner, Purpura, et al.

It's not Lidge's fault he morphed into a double-A pitcher.

This city just went through a fiasco of "holding onto someone way too long." in David Carr. I, for one, don't have enough strength to watch another franchise in this city piss away games because of stubbornness.

Another brilliant game by a starter blown by the bullpen and a lack of run production. Wasn't Lidge this time...but who cares? Great job, guys.

Ehhh, Wheeler threw that one dude like 8 strikes with 2 outs. The umpire absolutely blew horse c*ck last night. Then he blooped a hit later in the AB.

I'm not mad at Wheeler for that one. Actually, Ian Snell looks pretty sick sometimes. Ensberg still looks like he sucks donkey balls at hitting. I was hoping he'd go back to his '03/'05 form.

I've heard rumors that the Astros have been quietly shopping Lidge and getting no interest whatsoever.

Trade him for Prior yes/no?

Off the top of my head, I'd trade him for Prior in a second, although admittedly I don't know just how jacked up Prior's injuries are. If Prior comes back to full strength, he's one of the best starters in the NL, and Lord knows the Astros need a quality starter.

I'm pretty sure that the Prior we knew is no longer.

i doubt the cubs would be thinking about dumping him for a damaged closer if they held out any hope of him returning to his 2003 form.

the whole prior situation makes me want to [censored] cry.

Hell, at this point I might actually take Wood for Lidge.

wood could help out a bullpen. prior might be done for good. i'd rather have wood at this point as well.

The funny thing about this trade would be that one of these players would return to form on the new team. Making the other one look like complete morons.

All I want is Lidge to be good and on a NL team. Otherwise he was a waste of 17 fantasy dollars and 5 real dollars when I have to drop him.

OK, seriously...Jason Lane and Brad Lidge for Zambrano?

I'd do it. (Astros fan).

If Lidge were a stock, he'd be Enron ca. late 2001.

Lidge's fall-from-grace is huge. It makes Billy Koch's fall-from-grace look like nothing.
