An almost Rut Roh Lidge, but somehow after giving up 2 runs with a 3 run lead then loading em up, he somehow got out of it.

He only needed 35 pitches to record the save. Easy game.

The amazing thing is the guy had a perfect season two years ago, but no one (except Coff) remembers that.

His legacy seems irreversibly set.

Quite the opposite imo. Most people remember a perfect season capped off with a perfect postseason and WS championship. Only in the fast food amnesia world of internet message boards is a July 31st game against Washington more significant.

I never ever hear anyone mention Lidge having a perfect season. I always hear people talking about the Pujols shot and how many games Lidge has blown.

Yup. I'm sure Philly fans still talk about the 08 season though.

Yah I guess you're right if you're talking about legacy ie what people outside of Philly remember. Still the purpose of this thread was to predict he was done in '07 and that was unequivocally wrong.

The fact that the rollercoaster ride that is Brad Lidge has been chronicled so long here really makes this a HoF thread imo.
