So that amounts to like two weeks work for her salary +$20,000 +$14,000 settlement. Not bad, kid.

Not saying she couldn't have done better if she played hardball, but most people are fish when attorneys get involved.

It's also entirely possible she got a settlement from other non-University sources too.

It depends on when the relationship began. I don't think she was a subordinate of Petrino in her prior job. If they started banging before Petrino decided to rig the job application process for her (and this seems to be the most likely case) she doesn't have a really strong claim, and would explain her being paid essentially a nuisance settlement.
