I think that's it, may be missing one or two.
I'm an Alabama fan, but I have to say it; what the hell are we doing on that list and that other one? A few years ago we were a joke, after a 25 year run of mediocrity. We bite the bullet and bring in the world's least charming and most ridiculously overfocused man and now we are in a fantastic position so long as he stays.
Once he's gone we're right back to where we were; A POS state with nothing in it and without enough native talent to compete, an in-state high caliber rival who is also in perfect ****-blocking position to our life-giving pipelines to inordinately-far-away Georgia and Florida, a scourge of new teams in the area who'll probably be appealing enough to keep a recruit or two per year in their area, an administration that was mind bogglingly incompetent until Nick's "I take over and do everything that used to be your job description" policy, and a booster base consisting of many many insane good old boys who'd love to "help" the team once Saban stops telling them to **** off.
My guess is we're back to mediocre within 5 years of CNS leaving, probably aided by NCAA penalties for transgressions beginning 5 minutes after his departure.
Look at the rest of those schools--they all have prominent natural advantages over the field, except for Oklahoma I guess but they don't have the recent quarter century of being a tier 3 school either. Nebraska is kinda as well, but they have an exclusive on their state and they're a very good school also without the generation of crap.
Oh, and Dennis Franchione left Alabama to go to Texas A&M.
