At least Burish says the right things:

David Pollak ‏@PollakOnSharks

Burish: "If I were on Sharks and had to listen to everybody rag on Joe Thornton every year in playoffs, it'd piss me off." Wants that to end

P.A. got paid a lot less than what I thought he would, that's not a horrible deal

They had to sign someone with a G, P or on the outside an H. That was a big hole.

C. Mason signs with Nashville for 1.25M, worth every penny.

see, now this is high quality trolling. of course, when that was happening, the rangers were at a race to the bottom to sign every over 30 player they could.

gotta say i miss the leverage teams had over non-arb eligible players

George parros tweeted that he is excited to start a new career in FLA. I'm guessing it's either goaltending, or baby clothes.

BSH reporting that Flyers offered both Suter and Parise 12 year/80+ mil contracts. Also reporting that any Nash negotiating is pretty much done, not gonna happen.

What are the odds that if you sign someone today you are making a smart decision? 10%?

Ugh, not a great day for the Sens.

Thought they would be in for Parenteau, didn't happen. No chance for Nash.

Then we get rid of another top 6 forward in Foligno.

Carkner and Konopka leave, as expected.

Thank god. The price we paid for Nash would've sent me to Homer's house with a malatov cocktail. Someone told me that apparently the offers to Suter and Parise pushed over 100k. **** that, as well.

If we can manage to resign Carle, maybe even Jagr, and sit on our hands for the day, I'll be satisfied.

Still looking for confirmation that Suter has pick #Redwings but the sense is the decision is coming soon.

Nick Cotsonika ‏@cotsonika

If Suter is coming to Detroit, the Red Wings haven't heard yet.

i mean there's a reason why even with 61 goals from Hall/Eberle they still sucked as a team.
So basically you're discrediting the obvious that's going on in Edmonton because we are too heavy on extremely talented wingers? I'd rather Hall, Eberle, and Yakupov than any 3 wingers on any other team (with age/potential factored in).

agree with the 2nd part, always found it great that fans wanted teams to be "fair" in the RFA period and give players what they deserved but when players went UFA no one ever cried about greedy players

ill take the trolling comment as a compliment though. ty

What a ****ty day.

Was in Little Italy to support my eyetalians broskis and then just as Spain scores the soulcrushing 2nd goal, I learn that we signed Prust for 10 years, $104M.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME BRO? You're telling me that he wouldn't have signed for 1.5M when you give him 4 ****ing years?

Bring back Gauthier.
