Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

wideman is one of those defensemen who is prone to the horrible, horrible giveaway, which is always going to make fans supermad. he's also prone to scoring goals which makes up for that.

meh it's bure who comes across as a whiny ***** here.

re wideman: people seem to think he's a puck mover because of his point totals. he's not. he gets points from the pp and from having decent aim from the point. but don't expect him to get it out of the zone and up the ice quickly.

Expect the Penguins to announce Sidney Crosby's contract extension on Sunday. Over $100 million dollars with an AAV of close to $9 mil per.

So cute, a 8.7M cap hit.

If I was a high level prospect, I'd take #98 coming into the league.

He was born 8/7/87 so I guess it's his thing.

It's pretty ridiculous but if it gives Shero an extra million or two to spend I like it.

58M / 10 years for Quick.

I'd be fine with the Habs giving the exact same contract to Price. He can't really ask for much more without getting laughed out of the room since Quick >>>>>>>>>>> him.

Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

That's Kiprusoff's cap hit right on the button, and Quick's only 26 years old. That's a fantastic price for the Kings.
