Odds of Leafs drafting an Ontarian are what. 1 in like 500 billion?

It fits too perfect. You guys need Yakupov, CBJ still get Mickhail. We need Murray, and could use ANY other kind of draft/prospect/player equity we can get.
montreal not trading for yakupov. we don't need a small winger, we need a big centre.

this is why grigorenko is perfect.

the crappy thing about this lottery is if cbj wins they take the yak, edm takes murray, and mtl takes grigorenko.

now edmonton probably moves pick, that team takes yak, cbj takes grigorenko 2nd, and montreal gets either galchenyuk or forsberg. not too bad, but grigorenko is favourable imo.

A stunned Cammalleri asked if he could keep his game jersey as a souvenir of the good times in Montreal. No problem, said Gauthier, as long as he was willing to pay for it.

When Vicki Hall of the Calgary Herald asked Cammalleri about the incident this week, the sniper replied: “I can neither confirm nor deny it.” If Cammalleri had confirmed it, he would have revealed that the asking price was $1,250.

The Canadiens used to have a deal with Mei-Gray, a U.S. company that sells game-worn jerseys, but the team now handle sales through the Canadiens boutique and online. If Cammalleri still wants the jersey, it’s available for $600.

If the Jackets draft Murray, I'm going to kill everyone in a 3 mile radius of where ever Howson happens to be at that moment

Some of his teammates welcomed him on twitter last night. He was probably forced to delete it after his tweet raised a **** storm.

ya hoping cbj steers clear of russians.

ideally both griggs and galchen are gone in the t4 so toronto can't get a centre.

yakupov
murray
grigo
galchen
toronto probably takes forsberg unless burke doesn't think he has enough truculence and may opt for someone else.

also wouldn't mind seeing toronto trade a lot to edmonton for the yak, only to see him fizzle

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Toronto's pick is in play. Burke doesn't have time to wait for a winning product to evolve naturally; he's in do-or-die mode next season, more or less.

if leafs miss playoffs burke is gone.

the funny thing is the new gm will come in with a fairly solid team and they may make the playoffs the next year and win a game or two and that gm will be seen as a savior even tho he did nothing really.

This actually might be the most movement we'll ever see within the lottery picks at a draft. Moving down for Edmonton makes so much sense; they need roster pieces outside of their vaunted triumvirate up front and Klefbom's the only real blueline prospect they have in the pipeline, imo. Murray over Yakupov at #1 is ldo pure spew but if the Oilers could take Murray at 2nd or 3rd and add a couple pieces as well, they'd have to seriously consider that.

I think an Oilers-Habs swap of the 1st and 3rd overall picks that includes a piece or two moving Edmonton's way (Josh Gorges? Lars Eller?) is a very real possibility. I also think Toronto is one of the most likely Rick Nash destinations and any Jackets-Leafs deal involving Nash will almost certainly see the 5th overall pick shipped to Columbus in return.

Y'know what, those are my bold predictions: Yakupov won't be an Oiler, Nash will be a Leaf and Columbus will pick twice in the top 5.
