Are there any websites for betting on the draft?

Here's a new strategy for Edmonton, trade 1st for 2nd, then 2nd for 3rd. How long could you keep that up? What leverage to have the next draft pick for 30 minutes. You could fill the defence.

for ppl who care about the draft, TSN just put out their final top-60 players list

http://www.tsn.ca/draftcentre/feature/?id=9825

guess Big Bob has had a 84% success rate (just over 25/30 per year) in picking the top-30 for as long as he's been doing this, prob 10-15 years or w/e, so yeah it's prob a decent guide to go by. good comments and descriptions of the players too in case you're like most ppl and have no idea who these kids are.

and for ppl who get TSN, they're doing a Mock Draft tomorrow, and on Wednesday some kind of feature about the Lindros draft thing. that could be interesting.

draft this Friday in Pittsburgh...anyone going?

Looks to me like that's Craig Button's list, and you only need to look at his track record in Calgary to know he's a ****ing ****.

That list has Grigorenko at 12th. Fail.

it's not Button's list. afaik it's Bob's list after consulting all the scouts, GM's, etc that he knows.

think Button is just providing comments on the players.

edit: actually proof it's not Button's list is the "Button's ranking" for each pick

Mitch Albom is one of the biggest douches in the media but he did a pretty good "exit interview" before Lidstrom heads back to Sweden

Love the part about Scotty

Button is the only one ranking Grigorenko below top 4, and it's at 20. That's the only reason he is at #12. Lol.

Check TSN's final NHL draft rankings - a compilation based on input from various scouts around the National Hockey League.

Contracting mono just shows what a one-dimensional player Grigorenko is. If he had more of a two-way game, he'd have gotten poly.

Darren Dreger suggesting tonight on TSN that the Flames will definitely be in for Jagr's services on July 1st.

Probably why they went after Cervenka. Jagr would be a good fit for what Calgary's seemingly trying to do. Zemgus would be a great pick for them if he's around at 14 as well.

Flyers LW James van Riemsdyk has been a walking trade rumor. He's going to Columbus as part of a deal for Rick Nash, according to one rumor. Another has him headed to Toronto in a deal involving Luke Schenn.“He should maybe take that as a compliment _ that he keeps hearing his name like that,” GM Paul Holmgren said of the rumors. “I like James. I think he has a tremendous future in the league, and he’s one of our most gifted goal scorers _ and he’s 6-foot-3 or 6-4. He’s our player right now.”
If you're going to AIDS it up for Nash whatever, just don't trade him for Luke ****ing Schenn.

I like Brendan Gaunce a lot, you can never have enough quality down the middle. I was also really, really impressed with Olli Maatta at the Memorial Cup - he's still pretty raw but holy moly, there's a ton of ability there to work with. He could very well turn into an elite blueliner.

I'd be happy with either guy at 14th. I'd like them to go big though; we went significantly small last year with Baertschi, Granlund and Gaudreau. Like, midget small.

Listened to 20 minutes of Ottawa sports radio this morning.

18 of those minutes were spent talking about Rick Nash to Sens trade proposals.

Then I went for some lulz over at HF. Apparently Bobby Butler is what is going to get Ottawa over the top in the chase for Nash.
