Aside from the dollars part of it, I'd guess the likes of Ville Leino getting deals 6 yrs in length will also be a thing of the past.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was getting at with the Gomez thing. Those 6 or 7 year deals gone bad will hurt even more when the player blows after year one or two.

The kind we all had as kids had no bubble and was referred to as table top hockey.

These were in arcades and bars in the late 1980s, early 1990s. It was awesome.

The table top ones from the 70's were brutal.

I was first introduced to bubble hockey during intermissions at Flyers games. We also had one at the hockey rink when I was playing.
