Good stuff cwice.

Aside from the dollars part of it, I'd guess the likes of Ville Leino getting deals 6 yrs in length will also be a thing of the past.

Perhaps bubble hockey in his basement if it's a good day.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was getting at with the Gomez thing. Those 6 or 7 year deals gone bad will hurt even more when the player blows after year one or two.

Hedican IS a former player, so his words have some weight. Ugh, can't take the suspense!

And from Sweden:
Kopitar injures knee. 2 to 3 weeks initial report, but it's the same side as his 2011 injury

The kind we all had as kids had no bubble and was referred to as table top hockey.

Maybe it's a Toronto thing.

Re: Bettman Lockout III Thread (aka NHL Offseason: Now & Forever)

These were in arcades and bars in the late 1980s, early 1990s. It was awesome.

The table top ones from the 70's were brutal.

Re: Bettman Lockout III Thread (aka NHL Offseason: Now & Forever)

I was first introduced to bubble hockey during intermissions at Flyers games. We also had one at the hockey rink when I was playing.
