No you wouldn't. There can be a special 'pizda answer' that ruins your score for each question.

Oilers releasing a bunch of stats into the wild to see what fans can figure out. They're holding the "Hackathon 2.0" contest. The goal is to answer four questions.

1. Predict next regular season’s points/game for the players listed in appendix A.
2. Predict next season’s even strength save percentage of the goaltenders listed in appendix A
3. Predict the goal differential per regular season game ((goals for less goals against) divided by games played) for all thirty teams for the upcoming season.
4. Conduct a predictive analysis of your choice on some dimension of potential value to the Oilers.

I'm really not sure how the future Mrs. Geddy is going to handle my excessive inundation of our children with Flames swag and paraphernalia. The propaganda train will be a rollin' the minute the suckers pop out of the womb.

I'm not sure if I should let my kids believe there's actually hope the Flyers will ever win the Cup or let them figure out like I did that it's a dangle the carrot in front of the donkey type scenario.

Pernell Karl says what most of us have been thinking all along, that there WILL be a season at some point. and interesting that he doesn't think there are any "deal-breaker" type things left to negotiate.

Enjoy the bond that it creates between you and your children. Together, in your misery, you'll grow closer as a family.

In all seriousness, I really look forward to being able to share something like that with my kid. Looking back on it now, watching games with my Dad always meant a lot; hell, it still does. Schwartz's post got me reflective the other night - I remember my Dad waking me up for the Nagano games, consoling me when I was bawling my eyes out after the Czech shootout...I mean, stuff like that seems trivial but it leaves an impression.

Geddy - no doubt. I'm grateful my Dad pointed out who Eric Lindros was to me when I was 6 years old, even if I didn't understand the dynamics of a concussion yet. I suppose a heads up about losing in the ECF and the Finals a bunch wouldn't have changed much anyway.

My little nephew is a flyers fan. He's kinda small, so he likes briere.

It could be worse. He lives in NJ.

Who says the bed has to be for children? Maybe someone's super aggressive and just wants to do a Shea Weber head smash to some girl into those boards.

I might be an insensitive ******* for bringing this up, but just yesterday we had Americans mocking the Canadian media for interviewing kids who had just been cut from Team Canada, and now today American journalists were all interviewing 7 year old kids whose classmates had just gotten murdered. Guess we're not that bad after all.

My cousin who is 10yrs younger and grew up in the same town as me is still a rabid Leaf fan. Not an easy thing to be, especially in Alta. His whole side of the family lays the entire "embarrassment" squarely on me as if I'd infected the poor boy with a plague.

I'm willing to bet none of the players on the New Jersey Devils actually live in New Jersey.

wish it were 2006 so i could actually book this bet, but just about every Devils player lives in New Jersey. so do most of the Flyers.
