League had 48 game season in 1995 with an agreement signed around mid-January - can't imagine that it goes that long with how close they are getting. I think there's a 60 game or so season starting in mid to late December.
I think the same.
I'm a little baffled by someone like McKenzie tweeting that the "season is still in peril". How could they possibly blow the whole season over $182m and a year here or a year there in terms of contracting rights? What am I missing or are people just resigned to playing the pessimism card?

It becomes harder to Make Whole the more games they miss. They might get farther apart. But that's if this round doesn't lead to an agreement which I think it will.
I like how NY is rolling with 1 offensive forward line, 2 defensive forward lines, and only 3 d. That's like, "**** it, let's hope carcillo/downie/shelley doesn't cheap shot anyone and henrik plays like god. if not, at least they won't run up the score on us."
