Pro clip Nut. Definitely top 5 worst uniforms of all time along with the Isles weird ones, Boston yellow bear logo thing, and Lightning jersey with bolts down the sleeves.

It makes me sad to hear the announcers describing Kariya as the next Gretzky, with how his career ended up. So fun to watch.

Watching Kariya in his prime doing power skating drills was downright awe inspiring. Not quite Bure burst and cut but certainly up there.

An "unnamed NHL executive" did a AMA yesterday.

About 5 minutes in, and he's going on about the Kangz being 3rd residency in the Staples center. GTFO!
AEG co-own staples, and made BILLIONS on their real estate deals around Staples.
How about sharing that revenue?
Now that development is complete, they are for sale. So what business are they in?

read that AMA, was there anything interesting in it? dude seems pretty junior if he works for a team, as he didn't seem to know much. struggling to see much in there that you couldn't pick up by following the lockout closely from the outside.

Re: Bettman Lockout III Thread (aka NHL Offseason: Now & Forever)

the best thing to come out of the AMA thread is

[–]IAMAnhlexec[S] 8 points 1 day ago
1.The players are sticking on 3 principles. A) Contract fulfillment (and I'll answer that in a bit, but it's a HUGE sticking point). B) Definition of revenue, and C) Intangibles

C) Intangibles
Toews is the one holding everything up???

also, i watched a bunch of connor mcdavid highlights on youtube, and since he is from ontario, it makes me glad that he will never play for the leaves.

WOW

http://en.khl.ru/stat/leaders/222/

Alex "Hangover" Radulov is tearing up the KHL. Leading in points and 2nd in PIM. Talk about a play driver! Someone sign this man to an NHL team!

also KHL cancels January SKA-DynamoMsk games in Barclays and moves them to spc/msk home arenas respectively. nhl lockout cited as the reason.

The real reason being ticket sales I'm sure.

Re: Bettman Lockout III Thread (aka NHL Offseason: Now & Forever)

Buffalo only got 10k for an AHL game featuring Sabres. I wouldn't be suprised if the KHL drew way less. The KHL is legit to hardcore hockey fans, but it might as well be junior A to most people.

Ticket sales could be a reason since it wasn't even listed as an event.

Re: Bettman Lockout III Thread (aka NHL Offseason: Now & Forever)

I was googling to see if I could find any ticket sale info and found this instead. Backstrom wears #99 in the KHL.

Ban from NHL, burn his house, lynch his family, abort future children, and put his dog down.

Inexcusable.
