Also, we're still operating on pics or gtfo, correct? You guys know the drill...no trainwrecking plz, etc.

Spoiler:

She's really cool. Coworker of my buddy who had his birthday, he'd been saying for quite some time we'd probably be a fit, kinda hit it off right away and wouldn't you know it, Flyers Girl had front row seats for the fireworks.

Pros: Great sense of humour, intelligent, athletic, still plays 2nd base in a competitive women's fastpitch league, rocking body, great kisser

Cons: Only 5'1", resident of Oshawa

The Ontario boys itt can fill in the Yanks on what it means to be from The 'Shwa. Hint: it's not a feather in the cap.

Anyways, opinions welcome as always. And as a treat for you fine folks, here's a pic of me from McMaster homecoming this past weekend - in fact, this was the morning before the party where I met the girl. So yeah, I was kegger-hopping. P.S. before the peanut gallery chimes in, I'm not pulling a Byfuglien here, I'm wearing 2 layers underneath the Mac Hockey jersey. It was pretty damn cold this weekend, even for our October standards.

P.P.S. I still have to say, Flyers Girl was a legit smokeshow in a bikini.

If I had of known LiLo's sister from another mother was from the Schwiggity Shwa I would have gone to Junction/Riley's more often.

lol...but seriously though, considering how many times I've done this and the fact that we've got active posters here from the GTA who've gone to Ontario universities, I've always kinda expected it to happen one day. Maybe tonight's the night?

CLtop knew my ex so you're not the first Geddy

She is a cutie, but 5'1 and from O-****-wa are pretty massive cons. Not sure what's worse, the 'shwa or ****by.

It has been ****ing freezing in southern Ontario the past week

Is Oshawa like the Canuck version of being from Riverside? Someone who speaks both geographies please confirm.

There are a lot of good people who hail from Oshawa - I believe vin is amongst them - but it ain't the prettiest town, that's for sure.

Working class, very-rough-around-the-edges type of town. It's seen better days. Much like Hamilton, so it's not like I'm in any position to talk, but yeah.

Also, the city is more or less inextricably tied to GM, what with being the HQ for General Motors Canada and all, so when they started to take a beating, Oshawa really felt the effects.

Basically if you're in Toronto and go east, you get sketchier and sketchier. You get to Scarborough, then Pickering, then Oshawa. Scarborough is nicknamed Scarlem because there are gangsters there (it's a joke really but kinda not, it can get sketchy in places.) Pickering has a nuclear plant. Oshawa has the GM headquarters of Canada and a factory. They're both really blue collar cities. Which are weird in Canada. Kind of similar mentalities of people in small towns, but the people are a lot less successful, don't have as much space, don't have as much like... nice country small town ****. I don't know how to put it really. And, a lot of people from Oshawa will tell you they're from Toronto to sound cool. But they're from Oshawa.

Lol there is actually a hilarious story I have about me and 5 girls from Oshawa which I should tell later but I don't feel like typing it all out right now.

Geddy fishing in the right genetic pond

And don't knock the short girls. Anything over 5' is just fine.

It's ok G, call it for what it is - a ****hole. There are pockets of million $ homes but that's like saying Detroit still has some mansions. I didn't grow up there. I've just happened to visit for vice and enlightenment.

Draw some glasses on her and she looks vaguely Tina Fey-ish.

Also goofy, as someone who went to school in Riverside (Highlanders represent), and as someone who knows how to use google street view and find Oshawa on google maps, Oshawa looks like it not's terrible! Granted, I actually kind of like Riverside, so take it for what it's worth.

Sam Gagner joined Klagenfurt KAC today in EBEL league. 9th NHL player to play in this league.

FU you Kopitar for not playing here and you rather went to second Swedish league. Would be so much fun to watch Mursak and him play together.

Geddy, your girl has great teeth! More pics are needed for a full evaluation.

And props for inadvertantly doing it in front of FG. This has epic potential.
