I've been asked a lot what I will do during the lockout. Well, I'm going out 3 or 4 nights a week with my son Tim watching minor midget...Games and having the time of my life. I'm watching kids you'll be telling me about 3 or 4 years from now. I love it when they show up to the Rink wearing shirts and ties. They look professional!

Don is just the most typical good OLD Canadian boy you'll ever see. He is what we all try to embody. He just has the passion of GOCBness that we all strive to have. It's like those guys who can just naturally wheel broads no problem when we're all working our asses off. Don just has the most natural GOCBness this world will ever see. A true Canadian hero.

How have the rest of you dealt with the reality of the lockout? I have decided to fill the void with Junior hockey, at least it's something

Well, the interesting thing for me is that usually the majority of the Kings Home games are on Thursday evenings from 7:30-10:00, but I have class, that night, that ends at 9:30, so its not really that big of an issue in terms of being bummed that I can't watch it. I mean its still a bummer but not that much of a bummer, if that makes sense.

My NHL sources have been saying that they expect to be playing by December/January.

No idea how reliable they are though

Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

Last year I could have went to any Kingston Frontenac's games I wanted (OHL) through St. John's Ambulance who I volunteer with and we cover the games for crowd first aid.

This year, a bunch of new volunteers have all the games pretty much booked up. If I want to go to many of the games (w/o paying), I'll have to become a team leader.

I bought season tickets for Junior hockey and I think it's going to be worth the investment.
