You would think so, but no idea really.

Do you ski or board? There are some nice places outside of Toronto that double as a pretty good party location too. Thinking specifically of Blue Mountain in Collingwood, so long as it fits in your price range.

What is there to do in the United States? Going to be there for a few days.

Seriously, Ontario is 400k freaking square miles. Texas is 269k and the continental US is 1.8M.

Saying you're going to "Ontario" for a few days is pretty meaningless. Toronto to Thunder Bay is about an 18 hour drive and you could actually go further than those far-away points.

Okay, now I saw the edit.

Bob, we've got a nice little community here that posts about all kinds of things during dead time. We share stories, we coordinate trips and visits, we act as makeshift psychiatrists when we run into girl problems. And we get along really, really well.

There is absolutely no need for over the top condescension. Hotwangz is a good dude and contributor, he knows there are a bunch of us in Ontario (as huge as it is), and I don't really care that he might be ignorant to the actual size and scope of the province, because I'm happy to help out if I can. That's how we do things in hurrrrrr, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I live 100 miles from Ontario and 1500 miles from Toronto.

It would be awesome if he were going to Moosonee or Ear Falls!

Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

Geddy - I'm going to Earth for a few days. Anything to do there?

It's not inappropriate to point out that a bit more detail on where in Ontario he is going if he wants some tips might help. There is a big difference between going to Pickle Lake, Ontario (norternmost town in Ontario accessible by road) vs. Toronto (which is in the same province but is a 26 hour drive away) v. Niagara Falls vs. Thunder Bay, etc.

Think you're overreacting a bit here to me simply making fun of his "what's there to do in Ontario" query. It's a pretty funny thing to say. People do make fun of people when they say something funny, right?

Waterloo's about an hour and a half outside of Toronto, so if you're planning to hit up the Big Smoke, just keep that in mind.

Waterloo has the easiest women in all of Canada. Just hang out around the Laurier campus and you can probably bang 10+ women in a weekend. Hit up flithy Phil's. Most outstanding bar in the nation.

This is true. Although I would hesitate to call most of them "women." Waterloo has the easiest girls in all of Canada imo.

Bettman gives "take it or leave it" offer that he says will not be available after Saturday and future offers will get worse. Wow. Now it's officially getting ugly.

Not that matters, but for whatever reason this is driving me nuts right now: does the lockout start at 12:00 on Saturday (ie.: Friday night) or 12:00 on Sunday?
