Wangz fans going to be disappointed when they show up in April, and find the season is only 6 games long

obv some of them have specific reasons for the answers:

e.g.

- Neely over Orr the guy conceded it was a more modern look at the franchise, Neely represented what the Bruins were all about, etc
- the KANGZ guy basically just 2011 SC trolled his answers, pretty sure it was written by sea weiss
- the Leafs guy (PPP) refused to give just 1 answer for each, but multiple choice with joke answers, etc
- some of them went hipster with the answers instead of making obv choices

so if your eyebrows are raised with any of the answers, then read the article, most go into depth explaining them and are pretty neat to read.

sooooo, thoughts?

Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

well according to "Megalodon of Battle of California"...

Arena food is too expensive. Only idiots and fat people buy arena food. Just go get a burrito before you go to the arena and then just sit down and watch the damn game.

so are ya fat or an idiot?

Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

Arena food in the old Winnipeg Arena was either Beef-on-a-Bun or Nachos, those awful nachos with that awful cheese. Or pink popcorn.

How is TO villain not unanimously Ballard?

And what about Smail v. Gretzky?

Last edited by Hammerhands; 08-31-2012 at 07:51 PM. Reason: i think Gretsky won.

yeah in the writeup the Jets guy was going back to Jets v1.0, and said there were no perks back then, just popcorn and boiled hotdogs, lol

yeah was one of the answers for that, but PPP wanted to do that whole thing multiple choice

(also had Kerry Fraser, etc as answers for that one)

Re: NHL Offseason 2012 Thread

Arena Behavior/Tradition/Trend

a) Sitting quietly in the lower bowl reading your smartphone, eating sushi and ignoring the game.

b) Sitting quietly in the upper bowl sipping on a $14 beer.

c) "Getting Cloutiered" a.k.a. watching in horror as another Leaf goalie messes the bed.

d) Getting slammed by the local media for supporting the team in September (plan the parade!) and then getting slammed by the same local media for booing the Leafs off the ice when playoff aspirations are left for dead each spring.

Arena Food

a) $7 to $10 for a hot dog from Burkie's Dog House.

b) $12 for a deep-fried Mars Bar.

c) $14 for a large beer.

d) I have no punch line. You'd be better off eating $20 bills dipped in your favourite condiment.

Why isn't there a goalie category? Any excuse to put Guy Hebert or Arturs Irbe on a list should not be avoided.

I just realized how lame the food at Rexall is. I've heard there is a perogy burger you can get somewhere, (burger + sourcream, bacon, chives, cheese, onions) but I've never actually seen it.
