it's funny that everyone put daneyko for question 2 but didn't think about him for question 6. ditto reijo ruotsalainen. dave lowry was a sick answer.

yeah i do see some element of 'guess my team's guy' for some of these. haha i am really looking forward to adam's - if we had 20 trivia experts, there could be some amazing questions. maybe i will run another one in november/december during the real downtime.

wanted to make sure. i had an EN the other night, and one defenseman told me he would have tripped me had he been on the ice. not sure if he realized that would still be a goal.

I lol'd but I still don't get why people think the magic antidote for the Flames' problems would be trading Jarome.

So question to all the GOCB's ITT.

I have a week long conference in Waterloo in December...

Am I better off renting a car and driving to Detroit with some colleagues to a game or paying way too much to see Toronto play?

Toronto is only an hour away. Detroit is like... well 3 or 4. I mean. You probably won't be able to find Leafs tickets anyways.

I mean I could easily get Wings tickets is my point.

I think its most likely worth the really long drive as long as we dont get held up at the border.

Can you rent a car and leave the country in Canada?

If you drive to Detroit, hold your breath when you pass through Windsor

I wouldn't plan on seeing any games as the NHL will probably be locked out at this point

Somebody posted a sick video of every single goal Stamkos had last season. No extra garbage and the entire thing was in HD.

EDIT: Here's the link..

What makes Stamkos so great, and I've only seen it in a handful of guys over the last decade, is his innate ability to get himself into pockets quietly. You either understand how to do that or you don't, it can't be taught. You think you have him under reasonable coverage in your own zone, then all of a sudden, POOF, he's gone and he's crept over to the near post or into the high slot or off one of the circles and it's in the back of the net.

He might not be as flashy or dynamic as an offensive producer like Ovechkin or Crosby or Malkin but he's every bit as impressive imo. Just an incredible hockey mind. He is such a joy to watch.
