maybe to a point, but you go too far and it becomes a lot like the old system, or something like MLB where you'll have Pirates/Marlins type teams with no payroll bc they can make money icing a glorified AHL team.

also, this sylar-Burkie mindmeld is frightening...

If Carlo Colaiacovo can stay healthy, he'd be a very good addition for just about any team.

We now know why the Flyers didn't need Carle, they just signed Bruno Gervais!

5.5+ per for a defenseman that sucks on the PP, can't play the PK and doesn't really have any actual strengths to his game

gl with that tampa

Ya, I've got word, that this is indeed the case. One of my buddies is a die hard wings fan.

yeah, but that's the problem. he's even worse than Salo for injuries pretty much. it's funny, i feel like every time i randomly (or intentionally) watched a Blues game over the last couple years he'd take a hit, or block a shot, or w/e and go down/limp off and look about dead. it's like Kesler from a couple years ago, where at least once per game you'd swear the guy was done for 3-12 months. not sure what the deal is exactly, but i'm sure ppl have their theories about it.

Only reason we sign Semin is I am thinking Datsyuk could get him to put some work in...

they'll pay for that next year when he is arbitration eligible

i guess i see why NHL teams nickel and dime players like this in this spot, to make sure they understand that the NHL is not a guarantee, but still, if that weren't a concern a 3 year 4.5M deal would be sick value
