When I first read that on Puck Daddy, it said it was likely contingent on how talks went over the next week. That it says there he plans to go and dress for the game on Sunday is a bit disconcerting.

Has he been injured until now? Maybe he finally got bored and couldn't wait 8 or 9 days for training camp to start so he figured 'f it, I'll spend a week in Russia.'

Another game on open in EBEL league(Austrian open league). This time it was played in Ljubljana(SLO). Olimpija Ljubljana won 5:4 in OT against VSV Villach.

I think everything we hear from both sides via the media at this stage is just inconsequential and that no matter what, this thing gets done at the 11th hour. Maybe I'm just foolishly optimistic?

Now many on twitter saying that Bettman and Daly have gone to the hotel where the PA is to meet with them.

The value/year of player contracts are going up, but they're giving up long-term insurance for it. Bigger market owners/teams won't benefit as much from this and smaller market owners/teams will.
