Little known fact: Mike Ricker played goal for the Rangers that year.

Also, Holik needs to be in the HOEO just for having to play with plugs like Peluso and McKay all his career

Just saw a clip from Bure's interview with Sportsnet. He looks ****ing awful for 41; cocaine's one helluva drug.

lol gas noob

And because of him I missed my bus by about 30seconds
Great, another reason for you to hate on hockey in the Jays thread, just what we need.

Meh, probably won't go anywhere but good for them. Paying for the rights to become the official beer sponsor of a league that's not playing would rustle my jimmies too. They should make some noise and complain.

Speaking of alcohol...

On Twitter today: Geoffrion's injury explained by The Score
[more horrific than the video]
http://thesco.re/SDMlbW

It seems so odd to have @NHL glorifying the HHOF while screwing the NHLPA.

The NHL without the players is just 31 detestable old men.

How quick you turn on the very men who brought hockey back to Winnipeg. Maybe you'd prefer life without the Jets again?

If not, I'd be very thankful for the Thomson family.

tercet - Can you explain the bit about him having to ask them to turn on the pump and why that makes him a noob? I don't understand what you are driving at. Pump wasn't turned on when he inserted his card or whatever so he had to go bug them to do it...So how is he a gas-noob? I'm missing something here.

Child please. This is temporary.

Becoming increasingly apparent to me how much the fans take the owners' capital for granted and it's frustrating me quite a bit.

Yeah my card failure rate is >50% and it tilts me to no end having to wait for the teller to be free then process my card and then I have to guess how much a full ****ing tank will be. If I was Coffey I would have called up McSorely to get that line moving Brashear style.

Tercet you might want to upgrade from the bus first if you want to make fun of the people in the cars.

Well at least we know if you were a goalie you'd be great at defending the right side. Must be all that schooling petrifying your brain in the name of ideological capitalism.

I remember in 1984 when I was told it had been 22 years since the Bombers had won the cup. That seemed like a long time.

Some of the Bombers who won 4 cups in 5 years were around at the bar the day after they got their rings a couple of years ago.

Everything is temporary.

A lifetime isn't as long as you would think. They are stealing from you. They stole 15 years of hockey from me.

I know that Winnipegers who are 2 years older than me are as likely to be Leafs or Habs fans. I know that those who are 10 years younger than me are likely to be Jets/Wings or Jets/whatever fans. It takes a long time to make a fanbase.

People are pretty simple.

If February games are cancelled you can assume the whole season is off.

So talks have broken off. What does this mea? Is this an expected event on the road to an eventual settlement and the likelyhood of seeing some hockey this season is still 95%. Or have the odds of losing a whole season risen?
