cliffs: went over to play in the KHL during the lockout, already played 2 games before it was realized that the official paperwork wasn't filed (he had to be officially transferred from Edmonton to the KHL team, but wasn't), the IIHF ruled bc of that the only place he could play during the lockout is Sarnia (in which case he might just have not bothered playing anywhere). what a beat. sounds like it might all get worked out tho.

idk why really, but it's kind of bemusing to see all the sports stations up here with the extended coverage of the CHL on the highlight shows. kind of expected to see the KHL/Euro stuff, but not pack after pack of CHL clips. how long before TSN tries to pick up the rights to a lot of KHL/CHL games? i mean it's a long time until the World Juniors.
