There is some obvious fishy shot counting going on, but other people have suggested the bigger ice is to blame. However, it's not as clear as that because defensive systems are so lol on bigger ice with so many players of very different level on the ice at the same time. There are both top-6 NHL level players there as well as those who would have been cut loose back in junior. Also shot suppression does not seem to occur in other leagues, but then again everyone has ever so slightly different rules, so it's all slightly different.

Seattle is a tremendous sports city. Lol at the idea that basketball somehow failed there. They had an old, bad arena without all them fancy luxury suites that everyone wants.

NHL will succeed there eventually as will NBA again. I hope it isn't a matter of the Oilers moving there because that would be terrible.

Lol at Edmonton going nutso about this. That's what teams and owners do when they aren't getting the stadium or arena they want as quickly as they want it. They weigh their options and see if the city speeds things up. Minnesota Vikings, SF Giants who almost moved to TB. Minnesota Twins. Pittsburgh Penguins Etc etc.

I would be worried if I were an EDM fan. I would think NHL would not be willing to let that team move. Heck, they keep trying to save Phoenix so I would think Edmonton would ve higher priority. But with these guys you never know.

Ah I see, Geddy Lee loves him. Our Slovenian team doesn't actualy play in Slovenian league but they play in Austrian league. Level off play is not near NHL or KHL, but it's not a bad league at all. Lots of good players in it.

They do not have minor league teams in Seattle or Everett. The WHL is Major Juniors. It's different.
