yeah i thought of one super obv one right away for that, then took a couple minutes to see if i could find a better one, kinda drew a blank coming up with an old-time one. maybe did slightly better in the end with a 2nd kinda obvious guy, i dunno.

"Brent Sutter" doesn't make sense as an answer.

I know, but I'm saying that creating a grey area could lead to angle shots down the road.

Seems some people are/were confused by question #5: I'm just basically asking for undrafted players (besides Gretzky) who played in an All-Star Game in our hockey-watching lifetimes. I had to word the question strangely because of Gretzky, because of the existence of the WHA, and because the amateur draft was a somewhat late addition to the NHL.

About to head down to Celtic Park in a couple minutes. So if I never post again on 2p2, fairly good probability I got shanked in a religious hate crime.

Cheers!

GL died too soon. Before he even had a chance to share his experience of having PINTS in PUBS.

as i wrote to you, the reason people are having so much trouble with this question is because you worded it like ****.

i dont care who i help at this point: i (and i bet lots of others) read the question as asking for a player who had
1) played in both the WHA and NHL,
2) had been drafted in neither, and,
3) played in a 1990+ all star game;

I clearly guessed and got this one wrong, and it seems as though several others had the same problem. I suppose at the end of the day that should even it all out but if like half the people parsed the words properly and half didn't thats BS.

Again, I hope the Devils re-sign Sykora long term, Brodeur breaks his face in October, and move back to Kansas City.

Whos with me on this?

I read it as he intended, I'm just an idiot for not knowing any. When I looked it up after sending in joke answer I remembered two of the obvious ones people talk about.

I'll say the same thing I said to you in PM: there is just no chance that I would ask this as a peehs question. That is an impossibly difficult question, I don't even know if there's a right answer to that, much less enough to justify a peehs question. Like I said at the outset, all of the questions are such that someone with a goofyballer level knowledge base should, in my opinion, be able to name a correct answer, or at least have a plausible guess. All I was trying to do was to shut out angleshoots of people guessing Charlie Conacher and whatever, or the possibility that a player was drafted in the WHA but not the NHL and went on to become an All-Star. If I can't think of several answers to a question, I will not ask it.

Again, you're having reading comprehension problems. I did not say the opposite of that. I said 'I'd like to accept, but...' which means that I will not accept revised answers, as much as I want to because it's unfortunate when people misunderstand questions and aren't looking to angleshoot.

While we're waiting, here's some more awesome Kostitsynness

http://realhockeynews.com/2012/08/01...ls-to-america/

“A lot of teams in the NHL have all these rules about not being able to go out at night when you’re on the road,” Kostitsyn said. “So I think that if we just have a lot of hot girls inside the hotel, there shouldn’t be any problems. Players are happy. Coaches and GM’s who can’t mind their own business are happy. Everybody’s happy.”

It wasn't the best wording but I thought it was pretty clear what the question was. If you're not sure, just ask for clarification??

This is almost exactly like people asking you for the new Pokercast when you've told them you're taking the week off.

This. Please please please ask for clarification, I think a lot of my wordings are to ward off angle shots and unfortunately nab the innocent player. The next round will not be so complicated. The last round might be more so.

yeah i thought it was pretty straight-forward really. basically name an undrafted player who played in the All-Star Game

anyway, less talking and more "zomg reveals!" imo

2 maybe 3 days max for answers, then as Grapes would say "LET'S GO!!!"

(also i hope you were kidding about having Goose on ignore, wtf? he was easily one of the best posters in the thread last season)
