I have faith in you T.
Also, I'm flying out to England on Saturday. Hope to have an even better TR for you guys in a couple weeks. Maybe I'll see if I can get a tryout with an EIHL club over there...the Hull Stingrays sure look like they could use some help on the backend!
Quick British hockey anecdote:
my grade 10 English teacher and our high school team's goalie coach was Manny Legace's backup with the Niagara Falls Thunder and then played goal for the Sheffield Steelers in the mid 90's. He was given the nickname "Iron Jim" when he beat the piss out of the Basingstoke Bisons' tender in his rookie year. True story. Gets better though; some ****ed up British puck bunny apparently couldn't let go of her crush on ol' Jimmy and made some
hackjob fan website in his honour. My brother found it a year or so after I graduated and showed him the site one day and it freaked the **** out of him.
Ahhh, good ol' Hibs. Massive flake. Diehard Mets fan who said he hated hockey and only played because he was good, and that baseball was "a real man's sport." Also told me he didn't play men's league "because when you've played at the level I have, you don't insult yourself like that." Real twisted sense of humour too. His most brilliant joke? Comes up to my group of friends on graduation day and says to one of my buddies, with the weirdest grin entrenched on his face, "hey Mike, I heard you wrote your final high school essay on why you thought prohibition was a darker period in human history than the Holocaust." lol wtf?
Ah, memories. Well, that's my GOCB anecdote for the night.
