Oh well. At least the Dead Things are upon us, Holmgren spurred a lol Sather, and the Devils still suck.

DBG on the pros and cons of matching Weber's offer sheet, some great stuff here

Quote:
CON: Um hello, the Predators can't even match the offer in the first place since apparently it's illegal for teams in the Central Division to make any major offseason transactions this year, according to confused Red Wing fans.

CON: It's only natural for the Predators front office and ownership to feel betrayed and even angry at Weber for signing an offer sheet, and there's really no better revenge against someone you're angry at than forcing them to spend the next 14 years living in Philadelphia.

i am just saying cweisz probably ranks all his favorite former-flyer teams the same (sans columbus and toronto), with none ahead of another.

The Maple Laffs do not have the honor of being on my favorite team list.

He'd actually be living in New Jersey, wherein lies the real joke.

I'm new to twitter, and usually can't stand the things where something trends and everyone is making crappy jokes with that tag. That said #hockeyplayersexpositions right now is the funniest **** I've ever read:

Undress her 3 times and then slip it in - The Datsyuk
Short and to the point - The Tortarella Press Conference
Sneak up and hammer her from behind - The Bertuzzi
Do it again, and again, and again, and again - The Herb Brooks
Nothing but head - The Raffi Torres

etc etc etc. I just read like 50 and laughed my ass off.

lool, couple others I saw on twitter:

When you put it in and she doesn't know you did - The Patrick Kane.
"Sorry, not in the mood this year" - The Tim Thomas

Well it's commonly known that the Craig MacTavish is when you go no bucket.

But I mean who uses domers these days anyways?

Lambert, in Puck Daddy:

Quote:
There were a few reports after that whole disaster last season that Howson wouldn't be fired by Columbus' higher-ups, likely in the same way judges on courtroom dramas say "I want to see where he's going with this," as counsel goes spectacularly off the rails with a witness.
amazing

i remember reading that they brought someone in (Craig Patrick?) to look over his shoulder and help him out.

yeah i don't really know what's going on there, it's like he's trying to dig up out of the hole. might have been wiser to just can him and start over with someone else, like a long time ago.
