Oh, I think they will. We don't know for sure whether it was or wasn't in the opening salvo - it's almost a certainty that the PA leaked what was offered, and they likely selectively leaked it. Once they stop negotiating in fairy tale land, I think we'll see more talk about that.

Kyle Wellwood signed at 1.6 x 1, up from 700k.

This is the point of the off-season where my expectations get unrealistic. I read something like this last year, "Some of these guys will not meet expectations, some will get injured, not everyone will improve." [who said that?]

If Scheifele and Telegin make it then we have too many bodies. They should have figured out how to move up in the draft to ensure Pearson.

I still hope they sign Fehr. You should be able to get him at a discount, and he just has to bounce back.

And Paul Postma gets a one-way deal @ 550k. I think that's a spot earned, and that makes 6 D-men.

You boys would've been proud of me last night. Apparently I told the bartender that not only am I "Alcoholic Jesus," I'm also the 3x defending 2p2 NHL POTY. It did not get me a drink on the house.

I need to stop killing myself slowly. Chicago TR coming at some point when I'm not feeling like death. FML.

you should proceed to killing yourself quickly.

seriously though. alcohol is the worst, and playing hockey is one of the reason why i don't really drink. if i only watched hockey, i probably would still be having quite a few drinks every night.

I really hope theres no lockout.

On the other hand, that's one less year on gomez and kaberle's contracts and nhl relevance in MTL.

i really like geddy lee's posting even i do not post like him and we often share differing views on hockey. i do not only like things that are like me, even though sometimes it might seem that way. and not everything i say is sarcastic or cutting or attempting to troll. if something i say seems particularly mean, esp to a member of this thread i like, you're probably reading it uncharitably.
