Teddy Purcell just signed a 3 year extension for 4.5M a year?
That's 4.5m + 4.5m + 4.5m = 13.5m?

Purcell had as many points as Ovechkin last year...I'm surprised he didn't get 7M a year.

Yes, despite the fact that Dean Lombardi has made some great moves, he's also made some stunning gaffes in talent evaluation. Boyle, Moulson, and Purcell have all become valuable NHL contributors outside of LA.

Chris Neil getting an extension with the Senators, won't hit UFA next year.

3 years, $5.75 million total.

And if you look at the common thread, they all were "soft" players who didn't fit the TMurray system.

I guess I didn't pay enough any attention to TB last year, but there was a need to lock up Purcell now as a 4.5M player?

need? no. but hudler just got 4-16 with similar numbers. it's a little risky, especially if purcell regresses, but the deal isn't for that long and someone should take him even with a downturn.

pierre gauthier to the hawks... I'm so sorry.

Dont let that guy do anything he's the worst GM ive ever seen.

He actually asked cammalleri for $ to pay for his jersey when he was asked if he could get one for the memories.

All of them were given chances in LA and just didnt perform, Purcell in particular was awful even when given pp time and a linemate in Kopitar, its not like he traded them for scraps before giving them a shot

Plus for every 1 of those, there is a Frolov, Segal, O'Sullivan who left and did nothing, you can't hold on to every player

Ya, he just doubled up near the end of day 2, not sure of his chip count.

Really hoping he makes the October 9 just to see the Chicago Wolves list him as day to day with an upper body injury while he ships it.

Also hoping someone at his table downloads Chelsea Dagger on their ipod and rocks it every time they beat him in a pot.

Imagine the headlines/controversy if he did end up making it. I cant find it on google but I was going to link it to this thread, there was a guy on the canucks forums awhile back who thought he found who Luongo was on pokerstars. Apparently this player never played on canucks game days and there were some patterns that were definetly worth noting. Cant find it though
