If Parise and Suter are going to make a team of superfriends, I'm glad it's in the West.

200 feet players aren't labelled enigmatic.

Nash may be overrated and overpaid (which kept him in Columbus, imo), but he's literally never played with anyone as a Jacket. Jeff Carter for not even half a season, that's it. I think we forget sometimes that there's an extremely small tier of guys in this league who are actually capable of scoring 40+ in a season - it's not nearly as big as we think it is. Nash is in that group, holes in his game notwithstanding. He's still got at least a couple really big statistical seasons left in him once he gets out of Ohio.

I was referring to Sylar's suggestion that Parise would be called enigmatic if he was Russian and played with Perreault or Johansson.

I'll take your word on Semin being good defensively because you see him play a hell of a lot more than I do.

I'm really happy for Minnesota. They've got a great fanbase that deserves a team worth talking about.

This is huge for the Wild - Parise, Suter and Granlund all joining the lineup in the same offseason? Wow.

Yeah, this. The Wild have a lot of fans despite having a team between **** and meh for the last decade. They deserve better and it looks like they're getting it.

Looking at their roster - damn, Minny has a solid forward group. Too bad their defense sucks outside of Gilbert and Suter.

They should try to dump Heatley, dunno if they can. But they have a lot of money coming off the books.

I've realized that I think I hate the Wild only because their jerseys are so ugly.

Good for the Wild, what a coup.

13 years down the road their caphit will probably be like 5% of the salary cap anyway.

Time to give Carle the world and convince Semin to sign and then get some WIM from Datsyuk

i am sorry. i didn't realize there was something more to being called 'enigmatic'. please refer me to its precise canadian definition, if you are even allowed to divulge such information on a board frequented by a russian.

nash and carter are actually kind of interesting comparisons. googling 'jeff carter enigmatic' yields a few articles starting from his columbus trade, and 'rick nash enigmatic' yields nothing.

I've come to the point where I don't even know what the crusade is about anymore.

As far as Nash and Carter are concerned, one has played in environments with good insulation and the other has no idea what that even means, aside from 6 games in Vancouver in 2010.

Do we have numbers on their deals yet? I would assume somewhere around 7-8m cap hit for both?
