Knowing his emphasis on family, it'll be a Western Canadian team, if I had to guess. Depends which one. Vancouver's probably a very good fit. I'd definitely make an offer if I was Calgary. I'd love to see him with the Flames.
As far as the 4 year term is concerned, it might seem excessive for his age but he's an absolute physical freak and he's been one of the most durable players in the league over the last decade - he's only missed 24 regular season games in the 7 seasons since the lockout. If he says he can play another 4 years, I believe him.
No one believed Ray Whitney two seasons ago when he said "no, I'm healthy, I'm good for at least two more years" and look what he's done. I'm not saying they're analogous players, but if these guys are healthy and still committed to going through their rigorous offseason programs, I don't think teams should be scared. I guess cap hit is the only issue.

Maloney doesn't have the green light to make an offer until the ownership situation is cleared up, and Goldwater's getting involved again.
The deal won't be completed until after July 1st, ergo, Doan's camp is indicating he will field offers.
