Judging by the picture, this may not much of a chore anyway.

So I'm confused. do we move nemo to backup greiss or are we calling up Stalock and releasing nemo altogether?

A person associated with the Leafs bailed on you? Join the club, sir.

A+ on the new girl. This Canada place, I want to go to there.

not having seen him play on a regular basis, i'd say he's good but not great. prob gonna be tough to upgrade from him, unless they spot an asset somewhere else. but i don't think he's the biggest Sharks need or anything, depth obv, especially at forward.

Right. Niemi has been a slightly above average starter the past two years and he's not overpaid. San Jose's problem is depth, and specifically organizational depth. They don't have young, cheap talent so they need to acquire it via trade/UFA which puts a burden both on their cap and future promise.

Norris trophy voting results...

Jack Adams...

The Lady Byng list is ridiculously long and ridiculous all at once. Over 50 players received at least one point in voting, including the most gentlemanly of them all Matt Cooke. Over 20 players got first place votes.

Calder...

Vezina...

Selke list is really long too, not going to post it. Bergeron won by a huge margin over Backes.

Hart Trophy...

If you want to see the Selke, Lady Byng and GM award lists, hit up Puck Daddy.

last time i checked, his even strength save percentage was pretty good (ill check again later to confirm). Our terrible penalty kill skews his overall numbers.

Greiss did well in the times he was called upon last year, but hes unproven as a starting guy, and it would be foolish to expect him to play as well if he were given a ton of extra starts, since fatigue would obv be a factor.

The voting is interesting, I'm surprised Bergeron won the Selke by that much.

LOL @ some of the blatant homerism some of these voters must have. Like you have to assume the guy who gave MAF a Vezina vote is the same one who threw Pascal Dupuis a 1st place Selke vote and put Matt Cooke in the Lady Bing tally, right?

Matt Cooke taking going from about 2 PIM/Game last year, to about 0.5 PIM/Game this year seems pretty damn gentlemanly, whatever that means. I hate the guy, but that deserves a bit of credit.

Fleury getting a Vezina vote is just ugh.

more just shows that in previous seasons he did go out of his way to intentionally try and injure people

GMs vote on the Vezina, which always amuses me - like GMs are sitting around watching out-of-conference games in their spare time

ones that need goalies?

plus i'm assuming that GM's don't always travel with the team and so on (am i wrong on that), so maybe they would have more time to watch games.

but idk, w/e. is it any worse than letting the donk hockey writers vote on it?

no, it isn't worse, but it's not better, either.

Ive never really put stock in the fact that these awards have validity a lot of the time, based on the credentials of the people voting. joe thornton wasnt even nominated for selke? Guess its kinda hard to conceptualize a former 100 point/yr guy, and one of the goat passers, as an elite defensive player. Pretty tough competition this year with backes and datsyuk, tho. id vote for datsyuk to win, but lulz.
