Detroit has to be doing everything in their power to sign Suter this offseason, right?

what are the odds the salary cap ends up being 70M with the new CBA?

Haven't followed stuart that much recently, but i remember him as a pretty good, physical, defensive defensemen. Anyone have any anecdotes of how hes been lately? Seems like the type of guy you want to play with burns.

man goofy, i really hope we dont get nash, seems overpaid and over rated (though would complement thornton well since he can finish).

edit: not to mention wed have to give compensation for nash.

didn't play great in the last year for the wings.... somehow you would have expceted more in a contract year

I hope to god stuart gets on burn's line so we have somebody who can handle burns making a stupid pinch.

edit: Also applies to boyle, though we have Vlasic.

0-5% imo.

I just hope this will end up being a buy-low situation for the Sharks and he rebounds a bit.

could they be sending douglas murray out? it just doesn't seem to make sense to have all the guys they'll have and stuart.

He is fairly expensive for a third pairing defenseman. I wouldn't be shocked if he were moved, considering how terribad he was last year. I feel the same way about Clowe, if they have another bad year, their value will become very low, but I think there's a reasonable chance they both bounce back if they can stay healthy.

Also if they move Murray then we may have to endure another season of Colin White

I'll take Murray. He's the Swedish Sarich!

Actually, not sure if I would, even though he's a guy after my own heart.

Also, the glove sweep celly on a dump in is...whatever. It's an OT goal, he's pumped, but I just ****ing hate the glove sweep. It's a terrible celly. All of the cellies today for the kids ****ing blow.

Cellies jumped the shark after Tiger anyways. Never forget.

I mean, although stuart is physical, taking out murray alleviates most of the toughness and physicality out of the defense. Def would rather get rid of others before murray (looking at you braun and demers).

Yeah, that's what I mean. I love the guy, but I'm not sure how much he can help my team win anymore.

Braun is legit imo, and they're all way cheaper than Dougie.

I'd be surprised if it was this high. Lucky Holmgren doesn't read CBAs so there's room to sign Suter!

im not so high on braun, although it looks like he drove the play better than murray, but im pretty sure he played softer minutes. Just looked like he was out of position to me and ended up making a boneheaded play that ended up in the net, when i was able to watch games. You could be right, though.

Thinking about it outside of a vacuum and more of a big picture though, murray is one of the only real tough guys on this team. I just shutter thinking about a pairing of braun and demers/vlasic winning a physical board battle or trying to move a big center out of the slot.

A healthy Clowe is pretty physical. Plus he can play the puck from the bench.
