I was at a frat last Saturday where Patrick Kane spent a lot of his day before going to the KK. He was really enjoying himself there and thought he would get a little friendly with a young lady. Kaner thought it would be a good idea to choke a girl, like both hands around the throat choking. She immediately freaked out and started screaming, which drew a lot of attention. He was immediately thrown out by the frat boys and thats when he probably went to the KK, which is right down the street from frat row.

I would have given hunter a pass if he won this. But Jesus ****ing Christ, he's neutered the offense. I haven't seen so many forwards so flatfooted they couldn't break out of their zone... Since ever. This is like watching the German national football team play in the world cup qualifier.

****ing #hunterhockey. Give me an offensive coach.

I know I tweeted this from DP, but holy lord - if I didn't know the score, I would not have been able to tell who was ahead in that game.

Hunter hates advanced stats so much, he's trying to single-handedly discredit score effects.

New account because my last one was registered in 2003 and I have no access to that hotmail account anymore.

Lets see how my predicitions went/are going:

The same team as every other year. The away team at GM Place. (check)

Realistically, I just root for good hockey.

Things I'm excited for:

Pitt Philly will be the greatest first round matchup of all time (check) , and potentially one of the greatest series ever. (check) It has everything. It's the All-Star game of first round matchups. (check) The Battle of Alberta in the 80s is this matchup today. (check)

A potential second round matchup between Van and Chi. (nope)

A potential second/third round matchup between STL and Det. (nope)

A potential SCF between Van and Bos (nope)

A potential SCF between Van and NYR (nope)

Crosby heroics? (nope) Jagr heroics? (nope) Lidstrom/Howard/Mule heroics? (nope) Brodeur heroics? (check) Ovy lols (check), Some Sedin dives (check check) , a Loluongo or two (check check check) , TFTT? (nope) Schneider emerging as one of the leagues best? (check) Smashville? (meh)

Tortarella + Laviolette = at least 50k in fines before the SCF is done. ($20k so far after 2 rounds, check)

I won't be sporting another team's jersey and going full bandwagon, but I'll find reasons to care.

So whats the Flyers plan for offseason? Looked at the contracts and roster for next year and forwards look set, the only variable I guess would be Jagr who I'd like to be back but they dont really need him and he will prob draw interest from others.

Defensively its weaker but still good enough with Timonen,Coburn,Grossmann,Meszaros under contract, Pronger hopefully back and Gustafsson, Bourdon, Manning waiting for chance. Still prob a good idea to resign Carle

well, they currently have $61.2m committed, and that's without notable UFA's Jagr & Carle, and RFA Voracek, as well as some more minor free agents, so...

i'm guessing their offseason plan with be for Snider to aggressively lobby for huge rollbacks on existing contracts and generous buyouts/amnesty/etc in the CBA negotiaions, and maybe some wiggle room that might allow themselves to be freed of Pronger's 35+ contract.

You guys follow the draft / prospects much?

What are your draft orders?

few here follow the prospects closely enough to have real opinions tbh

and frankly anyone who pretends to anywhere is FOS (see: HF), bc basically no one sees enough games, etc to have any clue really. i mostly just read trustworthy ppl like Bob McKenzie and then try to hone in on who i like from there (based on what i've read, then maybe a little on the little i might have seen from some of the players).

That kind of has my head scratching. Is he really going to make Mark quit so he can be head coach after Mark takes them to the Memorial Cup?

I guess they probably enjoy working together and actually its probably more about mentoring his son.

even after a 57% fenwick season, still humble enough to give back to the kids in the community.

Its not suppose to be a classy sport, being classy in hockey is just wrong imo.
