I’d take mahomes first. Young enough and already has performed at an insanely high level. As good as Lawrence is, he’s just dominating college teams as a freshman and not pro teams yet. I’ll assume he’ll be good but to me it’s not worth the risk.

Yeah, no matter how dominant Lawrence looks, he's still a dog to be an elite NFL QB. Mahomes is only 4 years older too

While I would usually agree with this, Lawrence has been on a LeBronish trajectory since HS and just keeps surpassing expectations. I'm not saying he should go #1 in this theoretical draft, but I also believe he's a favorite to be elite. He'll be a Peyton/Luck like prospect. Man, the colts are so lucky.
