Ranking them right now is stupid. All that matters is how good they're gonna be. Wentz basically a finished product. Goff gets significantly better every start

Goff has a lot of Rodgers to the way he plays.

Wentz has had two of the best starts of his career in his past two games and is clearly has taken a big step forward this year. In what world is a guy with 21 nfl starts a finished product?

Wentz wasn't that amazing yesterday, not sure what everyone else watched. 16/30 with two of his touchdowns coming when he started in the redzone vs Panthers with several safeties out and no Kuechly for two and a half quarters.

I mean he was good but not sure how you can compare that to the Arizona game

Weird that Wentz is being praised for his game yesterday, I thought he looked terrible. Inaccurate and a one-read type QB. Don't see how you could possibly take him (or any of them, lolDak too) over Mariota

wentz was forced into adopting a pretty boring style what with the constant blitzes and the backup right tackle getting beaten all night

tough situation, which he handled very well because he is a confirmed boss

23 starts in college (FCS), 22 in the NFL...he's still developing.

So you agree it's Lane who's the GOAT and not Wentz

He was blitzed 24 Times and in the beginning those went unblocked straight to Wentz several times. But he adapted throughout the game, finishing 5-6 for 86 and a TD against the blitz. It's not the game's total numbers that impress, but his maturity in adapting and his toughness in the game as well. It's also not easy playing a team that can constantly blitz because their corners are never penalized.

"showed intangibles" plus some excuses is where the argument always goes when your numbers are ****

im happy as a fantasy owner and he's wasn't terrible or anything, but the dude led just one td drive over 20 yards and some 50 yd FGs against a garbage def without it's best player

Mariota
Watson
Winston
Wentz
Dak
Goff

Mariota has the worst supporting cast and offensive system/coaching of any of these guys - by far. He threw the fewest interceptable passes in the league last year according to people on twitter.

Wentz is overrated and will continue to be. He's inaccurate and makes bad decisions pretty regularly.

Goff has still been pretty bad, but his supporting cast and coaching is way better than last year.

Mariota has a fine supporting cast. You people are on drugs. He is one of the dumbest human beings to ever play NFL QB. He is incapable of going through a progression. He constantly makes terrible throws. Hes basically a much less talented Kaep. Its not good.

His supporting cast is fine? His coach is Mike Mularkey who schemes like it's 1970, and his #1 WR is Rishard Matthews (or 32 year old Delanie Walker?). Despite that his career #'s (ay/a, any/a) are as good as or better than everyone in the conversation. And this is only isolating for passing which obviously hurts him since he is by far the most talented runner. Saying things like "he is incapable of going through a progression" or "he constantly makes terrible throws" just show you either haven't watched him or have some inherent bias against him. If anything he hangs on in the pocket too long going through reads (hence being sacked almost 10% of the time his rookie year behind a passable OL), and guys like Goff/Winston make the same mistakes he does. Also going into this season in the red zone Mariota had a 65% completion % with 33 TD's and 0 INT's. Wildly inaccurate QB's don't do stuff like that.

I love Goff, I could see him being the best of them all (although I'd love to see him shorten his throwing motion and improve his footwork), but right now Mariota is the best.

You talk about Mularky as if they dont all have or have had equally bad coaches. I mean Goff had to deal with Jeff ****ing Fisher as a rookie.

Goff's sickness this year with still less than 1 full years experience shows what a bright prospect he is. Mariota also is dependent on running too much which is proven to be lol and also makes him a lock to be hurt all the time.

I agree Goff is awesome and has to deal with a lot of ****, although it seems they've actually found a decent solution in McVay. The Titans have overachieved with Mariota compared to the overall talent, which both has tricked them into thinking Mularkey isn't garbage (and allowed them to find an actual coach) and hurt their chances at improving through the draft.

He was a rookie, rookies struggle all the time. Part of his improvement is just a talented QB making a 2nd year leap, but part is definitely coaching. And that's the point, a QB needs a guy who knows how to play to his strengths. Mariota is dragging a ****ty team in a ****ty system to mediocrity, if he had a smart coach building a system around him, rather than forcing him to fit into his awful, outdated system, he would really shine.

I do agree with TuT that Mariota is most likely to be injured, which is probably his biggest negative.

Also "right now Mariota is the best" while wrong is a worthless statement even if correct. Hes got way more experience than everyone else in the discussion other than Jameis. He should certainly be better than Watson and Goff right now and its not clear that he is.

If youd take Mariota over Goff or Watson, or even Wentz for that matter, youre really lol.

WAY more? He's younger than Goff and Wentz lol. He's played 9 more career games than Wentz. Mariota outperforming Jameis without a Mike Evans on his team is meaningful. I don't see how you can be so high on Goff and not understand the importance of coaching/scheme. He looks like a totally different QB than he did last year, obviously some of that is his improvement, but some of that is coaching to his strengths too.
