You actually have a point, looking at Betting Market Analytics the Colts were 4.2 wins over EV last season.

Spoiler:
Worst? Lions at 4.0 under

They replaced their RB (Bradshaw), two of their linemen (Cherilus, Thomas) , one of their WRs (DHB), two of their DTs (Franklin, Jean-Francois, plus they get Chapman back), one of their DEs (Werner), and three of their DBs (Toler, Butler, Landry).

Why do you assume they'll regress from the 7 win team they were last year?

I mean, all the players you just listed are lol. Except Werner, I guess, who's an unknown.

Of course he has a point, but one ever said anything about the team not regressing.

Calling the overall season "meh" because the were a "bad playoff team" is ridiculous and that's all I was pointing out.

The O/U on their wins is 8.5. I wouldn't sweat the over a ton barring injury. They play in the AFCS and have an easy schedule otherwise. They were a 6-7 win team last year and with apologies to Wookie, they're prob a 8-9 win team now.

ZOMG, 11 wins playoff team after 2 win team means Luck is the GOAT.

2 years before hand they of course had the GOAT that team won 10 games. GOAT goes down, they become a 2 win team due to QB play and horribad coaching. This year the luckbox a bunch of wins with a last place schedule and the easiest schedule in the league and improved coaching (can't get much worse than Catfish). Luck plays well especially for a rookie with a ridiculous # of passes and yards and a ton of tough throws/situations.

Why will the Colts regress?

Probably not going to be a lucky as they were last year (not really going out on a limb).
Much harder schedule (NFCW, but AFCW as well for the LOL)

Why they might get better?

Luck could improve a ton.
New offensive system
Player additions.
Still in the LOL AFCS

Luck had a good season, great for a rookie. I'm not really impressed by what the Colts did especially with their insane run good at times. They are far from a legit contender. They could win 11+ games this year and I still don't think they are a legit contender for anything but another first round playoff exit.

Outside the QB and HC position, the Painter/Caldwell era Colts were not a 2 win team. And we're pretty sure they were sucking for Luck.

I really have no idea how to answer this question though.

If I had to, I guess I would put RG3 at the bottom just based on his knee, but even that is suspect considering ADP shredded his knee then came back with a bionic knee and won MVP.

Kaepernick and Wilson have a similar style and part of me wants to say that that style will either have to change or it either will work less effectively or they'll get hurt. But with the way the league protects the QBs these days... that mentality may be wrong. Even 12 years ago when Vick started, that style of running free was so much more dangerous than it is now. Of these 2 I'd give Kaep the edge based on his playoff run and just the fact that he can throw a football 98 mph accurately.

I didn't get to see Luck more than about 3 times last year but he reminds me of the first time I saw Aaron Rodgers. AFCS will be mega weak this year; Texans will see a drop-off.

I'd probably say like Luck/Kaep/Wilson/RG3. Maybe flip-flop the first 2.

Anyway, GOAT rookie QB season ainec, right?

Kaep and Wilson don't run like Vick. They're not often initiating contact to get the extra yard. They're getting out of bounds or sliding. The most violent hits on Wilson, Kaep, and even RG3 came when they were in the pocket, not when they were running. Wilson does need to lay off throwing lead blocks for Lynch, however. I also think you're underestimating Wilson's arm strength and neglecting the loss of Crabtree on Kaep's potential for next season.

It's this year vs. 1983.

RG3 got jacked the **** up running when he went near the sideline but tried to stay in for .3 extra yards.

I know Wilson has a strong arm, too.

Haven't paid attention to off-season stuff so I didn't know about Crabtree.

i'll say this to the loss of crabtree: jenkins supposedly looks awesome in camp and vernon will be lining up as a sideline receiver for a majority of plays. seeing as how davis is a superior WR to crabtree anyway, the impact of losing him could ultimately be pretty overstated

Crab was nothing really until CK started force feeding him last year. As much as I would have loved to keep Crab for the year, we have Boldin, Jenkins, Patton and Davis and possibly Manningham/Williams and the rookie. I think will survive. I hope Crab doesn't come back and is forced to start and struggles in a playoff run this year. Also we will have Hunter, LMJ, Gore and of possibly Lattimore at RB.

In 5 years, Luck will be the surgeon operating on RG Trois' remains. Kaepernick will waste away on his beloved Dolphins and Rustle will reign supreme over the NFL.

I went with the Ru$tler because he has by far the best stuff around him : A possible All-Pro RB & WR and a daunting defense to back him up.
