This is definitely true, and on top of that the actual elite wrs would have just as much sick chemistry with someone Godgers.

So the best WR in the NFL according to SE isn't on the Pro Bowl squad?

There's a pretty real chance a WR or two could be in the Super Bowl and he'll still get named. Even then he only played 11 games so I don't know why you're acting like it's some massive repudiation.

Jordy Nelson is a top 5-7 WR
Antonio Brown is not a top 5-7 WR

Not sure which one could be more wrong

Yes, the bills made a stupid trade. But what no one will ever say is how dumb the 3 teams the bills offered the same deal to made a mistake. Like, it will literally never get mentioned.

If we all lolbuffalo for the trade, doesn't it make more sense to lol the texans and rams for not accepting the offer (at least the jags took a qb). If what buffalo did was dumb then they are at most the 3rd dumbest team from the draft. Houston and the rams being the dumbest.

Anyway, merry xmas chim

Don't you have some world cup thread to do some sweet modding in?

With Jordy Nelson's skin color I don't think it's possible for him to be overrated.

I remember a few years ago when some announcer thought he was a small slot Wes Welker type. Dude is like 6'3" 225 and pretty fast.

Speaking of size, I think ODB's main problem is going to be his height (I've seen him listed at 5-11 and 6-0). When you're that short there are just going to be some limitations that these 6'3"+ guys just don't have. I still think he will be very good, but I'd be surprised if he were the next Randy Moss (which is how people seem to think of him now).

You don't need to be tall when you get open at will and catch everything within 3 yards of you.

Does anyone think he'll be the next randy moss?

Just went to the NFL's combine site to get his actual height (it's 5'11"), and hahahaohwow at their scouting report:

Quote:
BOTTOM LINE Talented, competitive, productive, inconsistent college split end who projects as a flanker or slot receiver in the pros, where a creative offensive coordinator can take advantage of his run-after-catch skills. Could be a productive No. 3 option with added value as a kick returner.

Well no one said it explicitly, but Moss is the last guy I remember that people would say was a top 5 receiver (not accounting for age and contract) at the end of his first year. I don't think people even felt that way about Megatron (although everyone knew he would be great, I don't think people felt that good about him that early).

Of course such things are subjective (i.e, how good did people think someone was when they were a rookie) and memories will be clouded by hindsight bias, so it's not really something to try to have an argument over.

However, I think that your question is a good one for the ODB slurpers in this thread to answer.

his similar to moss in that you have to go back to moss to find a WR so dominant in their rookie year. but obviously he's a different kind of receiver than moss.

Only because the internet wasn't really a thing back then like it is today. 2p2 would have went nuts for rookie Moss.

Yeah, this obviously.

People also ignoring the fact that he didn't have training camp (whatsoever) or play the first 4 games. It's pretty crazy how quick he was that good.

Since megatron was mentioned his first 4 seasons are behind the year ODELL is putting up this season. http://www.pro-football-reference.co...m?mobile=false

It's hard to compare odb's season to any of megatron's first 4 just because the rules have changed so much. It's so easy for qbs and wrs now.

Does the 5 game difference help even things?

I mean we're not talking about the dead ball era or something. Calvins rookie year was the season Brady/Moss demolished the league.
