Well while the end of UoA vs NV was entertaining, watching the entire game was probably not so.

The BCS games don't seem too enticing but there are a ton of really fun non-BCS matchups

Well, if you watch the game, take note of their ****ty commercials. They can't make their food look even as appetizing as Applebee's does.

I will open my bitching about bowl tie ins with the Sugar Bowl's. Bama-Oregon makes sense on so many levels and resolves about 4 years of debate. But Texas wanted her own tv station so the Big12 survived and locked up several years of boring ass Sugar Bowl matchups.

btw it's inconceivable that the Big12 and SEC champions aren't in the playoff, so the Sugar will evolve into some #2 Big212 vs #3 SEC glorified Gator bowl.

Oklahoma got picked purely because they will send more fans to New Orleans than Oregon, that simple.

Geography and fan loyalty are in Oklahoma's favor.

No. They got picked because starting next year the Sugar Bowl has something like a 12-year Big12 tie in. That simple.

That's also is a factor going in their favor, but I think even without it they would have gotten picked.

It's the Watchability for each game.

Watchability measures how good the teams are and how likely the game is to be close (way more detail on Watchability here)

Was just being quick the usual headers/explanation. Sorry!

I agree.

I think if you just put all of those teams in a hat and picked them out randomly you would probably be odds on to get a better slate of games.

Well then, are you two obvious sports geniuses going to tell this apparent sports ignorant sap why the Sooners were chosen over the Ducks?

Geography and fanbase is why Illinois got the Rose in 2007.

wow, i just noticed how lol it would have been if the 4-team playoff was in effect this year.

FSU stomps MSU and the iron bowl rematch. then, alabama beats AU, and the invevitable FSU vs bama match happens. AU fans all cry because they go 1-1 with bama, but don't get to play for the title.

That would be a fair result and Auburn fans wouldn't cry about that. They'd have fewer losses and played us on the road. It's nothing like the other year when LSU split with them, road and neutral, and won the rest.

auburn fans would indeed cry, but so would bama fans if roles were reversed. not 100% obviously, but the majority, for sure. maybe you just mean the "good" fans.

also, the rematch was in Louisiana, the LSU victory was flukey and the Bama victory was pure domination, so, you know... but nice try.

Baylor 45, UCF 28 (-17 Vegas)

Really shocked how close it is to Vegas Lines, except Title game, which YPP loves FSU and hates Auburn.
I love the Bucks too, but I'm just being ultra real about this...Clemson is going to go surgical on our secondary.

I'm sure we remember the recent OSU MSU game...MSU came into that game 11th in the BIG 10 in passing offense. Boyd/Clemson is WAY better than that. I realize Clemson got super smoked by FSU early...but that was early, they've had time to recover, and learn from any mistakes...whereas we JUST RECENTLY had the 11th ranked passing offense in the Big 10 smoke our secondary.

I really want us to win, but there's just no way in the world that we win with the defensive coaching staff we currently have. One bad game is the players. Two seasons of bad defense save for a few cupcakes/gimmies, is the coaching.

It's a notch down for sure.

-Beer and wine only. No doing SHATS every time Musburger says "pardner"

-Very sub par food for the price. Your home made wings are probably better than the ones you will get here.

-NTN Trivia/Poker (with its flawed random number generator) in some of them if that's your thing, though that's location specific and not all of them have it.

-Bills itself as a "family sports pub" so you and your drunk friends have an even money chance of being surrounded by tee ballers and little leaguers by halftime. I've actually seen multiple team parties going on at the same time in that place while adults were trying to watch a big game. It was like trying to drink and watch a game at Chuck E Cheese.

-Closes at like 10:30 - 11:00 PM which is about halftime for the West Coast games if you're watching on the East Coast.

-About the only good thing I can say for it is that they usually have ample TVs, even at the individual tables, so it's fairly easy to see whatever game you want if your team is playing on PPV, but that's really all they have going for them.

Plan on watching elsewhere imo

Way off topic but...

As someone who plays a ton of NTN trivia but never poker because IMO it's laughable in bar, I'm curious to hear details of your RNG statement.
