For the first time our SHEEP will be an incorrect answer. 4 of you were feeling good as this player was up 2 sets to 1 against his first round opponent, but he took the tanking a little too far and ended up losing in 5.


Our next incorrect is wrong for the other reason. He was too damn good. An unplayed ace for #1 who won in 3 sets without giving up a single break point chance, 3 of you went wrong with one of the few Americans who didn't suck in round 1.

If this were HQ trivia, I'd call this a savage question. If the number was 5 games there would have been a bunch of corrects, but with 4 there were not many. 1 to be exact.

You know, I knew that because when I posted that there had been a correct answer for all the questions your answer was the only correct for #3 at the time.

I have a script which takes the names and then tries to automatically fix ones that are misspelled (which is many of them), and it only knows about seeded players. Then I manually fix the rest of them. So it just assumed "Mertens" was a misspelling of "Kiki Bertens". Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

The highest seed to lose was also our SHEEP. It was a tough first round draw for this player, but still the upset was one of the biggest surprises of the first round. But clearly not for these 4 entrants, who predicted it:

Habsfan09, who picked the SHEEP, also could have predicted this one. In a cryptic PM a few hours before the deadline, he changed one of his answers away from this player assuming she'd have a bad tournament. Well he was right, and so were the 2 entrants who picked her. She started off strong winning the first set 6-2, but lost a 2nd set tiebreaker and then 2-6 in the third. The 13 seed's loss is your gain...

There are a lot of ways to get to the top of the leaderboard in PEEHS. One strategy is to get a lot of safe, but potentially popular, answers right. Another strategy is to shoot for more obscure picks and hope to the aces will offset some incorrect answers.
