After I'm shot on the spot. Which country do you recommend that I go to for health care?

Given the size and the interest in soccer Mexico is the most underachieving country by a mile. Every other country that's done anywhere near as poorly as them is either a fraction of the size or has one or more sports ahead of soccer. Must suck.

really surprised to see cruizin post a thread titled "USA#1 USA#1 USA#1 USA#1 USA#1 USA#1 USA#1 USA#1 USA#1" but i guess he finally realized how superior we are in every single possible way. they dont even have soccer to claim anymore lololol.

there's def an undercurrent of people not wanting little timmy to play afl because of head injuries, and there have been many rules brought in the last few yrs to punish head high hits more severely as well as taking off guys who've been concussed (which is poorly enforced obviously). mostly influenced by the nfl cases afaik

i would guess that it's not quite as big of a problem as with nfl because of the nature of the sport; the players aren't as big/athletic/explosive, and head-on tackles are less common. but you never know, it's a full contact sport and the awareness of the issue isn't as high as it is in america. might become a bigger issue in the future, a guy retired just last week due to breaking his face one too many times

the idea that you're looking to match anecdotes to prove whether or not the USA is indeed #1 is quite awesome, and I envy those who get to experience your thought processes on an everyday basis and go home feeling infinitely better about themselves.

Plus Cruizin, you're a dickhead plain and simple. You need to keep that central in your thoughts.
All of this, but the gif in OP is still pretty good.

I have no idea what is going on in this thread, but as a European and a soccer-fan I would like to thank the US team for playing with dignity, sportsmanship, never giving up and having delivered some very enjoyable games.

And I don't say that to be nice. I think the US has lifted the game. Watching a soccer team who doesn't dive, doesn't yell at the referee, can shake hands with their opponents, always play with maximum effort but still tries to play really fair is truly a breath of fresh air.

You also played very well, but it seems Belgium finally became the team its lineup suggested it should be.

all true

but doesnt change the fact USA's best player vs a mediocre Euro team was their goalkeeper

His post indicates that he's never been to the US either.
