Djokovic might very well be going for another grand slam at the US Open this summer.

This sounds like results oriented thinking. I remember 10+ years ago everyone said Nadal couldn't have a long career because he plays too physical. Alcaraz is in great shape and takes fitness very seriously, something I wish Sinner would do.

As for grass, I don't see any reason why Alcaraz couldn't be great on any surface, he just needs to play more matches on grass. He's played 6 pro grass matches in his life, all at wimby. He's gotta play some grass warmup donkaments, going from clay to grass seems like the hardest surface transition possible.

Zverev was so good in the quarters. I guess Ruud is better than I thought because I would never pick him over Rune.

He still needs to get past Ruud and scoop Wimbledon, but I'm guessing anything over +150 outright @ Wimbledon looks very juicy.

Rune might be worth a saver.

He’s +110 at Wimbledon right now with Alcaraz next at +350.

The only way Vak loses tomorrow is by retirement or default.

If you're saying you think Rune is a good outright for Wimby you should keep in mind he has an 0-3 pro career record on grass.

The head to head is now 5-1 Ruud.

Djokovic is -450 in the final. I guess somebody here is betting all they got because odds of retirement or default is close to nil. The odds of him striking a linesperson with a forehand are probably lower than that.

If you're saying Ruud might have a chance if they surprised Djokovic with a Saturday final and defaulted due to no show that seems plausible.

Supposedly Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa are dating. They are annoying people already lol. Way too many pics posted to social media in the last day.

Girls final: Korneeva (3) d. Perez Alarcon (6): 7-6 6-3

Korneeva is still 15 and is halfway to a junior grand slam, having beeaten Mirra Andreeva in the AO final. Andreeva is 16 but plays pros only now, and just cracked the wta top 100 with a 3rd round loss to Gauff in the womens. Korneeva's wta rank is #329, she won a 60k challenger in march.

Korneeva has very clean ball striking and a good all court game. She's also in the doubles final later today.

Perez Alarcon is from Peru and stands about 5 feet tall on her tippy toes. Her serve is better than I thought it would be but it's never gonna be that good. She's solid from the baseline and hit some nice drop volleys. She seemed to be the more mentally stable of the two, and a much more natural mover on clay. But Korneeva was clearly the better player.

I'm glad the days of every junior girl being a BBB Sharapova clone are long gone. Coaches seem to have realized that maybe its not the best plan to try to get every kid to have a one dimensional game in which their only option is to blow their opponent off the court.

Boys Final: Prizmic (3) d. Prado Angelo (8): 6-1 6-4

Prado is the first Bolivian to reach a junior slam final. His game has a long way to go before he can do anything on the ATP tour. He's an aggro shotmaker from the baseline, but lacks consistency. He hit some nice winners, along with a bunch of shanks and stinkers. His serve is weak, futures level at best.

Prizmic is the better player, currently ATP #293. He has a decent all around game. It's always difficult to predict career trajectories of juniors, but I don't see anything special about him. Maybe top 50.

3 RGs for 1ga. She's 22, she could win 11 more of these to tie Nadal

Eve after all this time, Djokovoc's smash remains bafflingly bad. At least for someone of his incredibly high standard.

If Ruud can’t win that set, not sure how he can win today. I was starting to think he might finally break through and become just the second non-Big 5 player to defeat one of the goats in a grand slam final.

It's only 1-0 Djokovic in the second set, but this is looking over. Djoko hopelessly outplayed Ruud in the tiebreak.
