Giorgi should always be primetime.

Maybe. It’s kinda sad this might be the end for him. He just made the qfs of Wimbledon. I think he should try to make one last go if he can get healthy again and compete. Sadly, I can’t see him competing at a high level over 40 with injury problems popping up now. I think he deserves to go for one last hurrah at slams (where he hopefully can compete at a high level).

I never liked Federer bc he owned my favorite player at the time (Andy Roddick) and nadal a bit in some slam finals other than the French. He truly may be the goat. He had a few seasons where he lost maybe a few matches each year which was just insane. I may be wrong but prime Federer would have beaten djokovic and nadal (just not on clay).

I’m holding out hope that nadal doesn’t let djokovic run away with the slam record but it’s looking bad. I’m just hoping djokovic doesn’t win the us open but I feel djokovic at top form will wipe away almost everyone. Only person I feel that can beat him is nadal but even he is having injury and form issues at the moment. Would love to see a nadal vs djokovic final at the us open where both are at the top of their games to really spark a goat conversation.

I can’t see him coming back for this. He will still be good enough to regularly get to the second week of a slam but once he gets there I don’t think he have the fitness to continue.

Can’t see Rafa being fit enough for the USO to cause much of an issue though. Getting to the stage where years worth of injuries just adding to the recovery time for him.

Medvedev wins another M1000 (Toronto), beating Reilly Opelka. I'm still amazed Opelka beat Tsitsipas.

The Cincinnati M1000 starts today.

Wins another, which he no doubt will. He’ll be in the top 10 OAT winners of M1000 events.

You’d fancy him to win the other HC ones but the clay swing, he won’t.

I def agree with this. I feel he should try to comeback though to get one last go at the slams as a way to say goodbye. I’m sure he doesn’t want to retire without somewhat of a goodbye tour yada yada.

Naomi Osaka had some sort of issue answering questions and left the podium in tears.

I saw that. I feel the question was not the type of question that should bring an adult to tears.

If anything can be said about this….. Naomi Osaka has mental health issues and probably should take time off the tour and see a shrink. Crying over a question that really isn’t that offensive… hmmm it’s probably not he’s for her to be on tour right now and she should work on her mental health.

Yeah, and not to harp on it, but it's a pretty obvious question that she should have been prepared for, even if it was just to give a generic stock answer of some sort.

In actual tennis results news, Murray beat Gasquet, which isn't exactly a huge brag, but good for him.

This girl needs to check herself into a psych hospital and forget about tennis for a while. She looks like a future suicide.

Osaka out. Men's side is playing pretty much to seed. Zverev, Medvedev, FAA, Ruud, still around.

...the path gets more clear for Novak. Seems like it's gonna come down to Novak and Medvedev or Zverev.

I would not completely write out Stefanos. Rublev struggling a bit lately (2nd set vs Monfis is probably weirdest thing I've seen since 5th set of Khachanov - Korda at Wimbledon) as is Berretini. Everyone else is either too inexperienced (Ruud, Shapo, FAA, Korda), too old (Andy) or too bad, I guess

With Naomi Osaka's loss, Aryna Sabalenka will move to a career high #2 and be seeded #2 at the US Open.

And Serena is down to #22.

Fun match tonight, Tsitsipas taking his phone into the bathroom after the 1st set, Zverev mega rustled about it. Zverev pulls out the win in the 3rd set breaker.

Meanwhile in Winston Salem qualies, Donald Young got double bageled by a guy ranked #275.

You forgot Tsitsipas was up 2 breaks in the 3rd and as Zverev was complaining the to umpire about bathroom/phone break they cut to Tsitsipas' dad who was... wait for it... on his phone.

The Tsitsipas / Zverev gamesmanship stuff was super lol, loved it.

Not sure what happened to Medvedev; won the first 6-2, ran into a camera or whatever and looked dead after that.

-----

Murray vs Kyrgios in Winston Salem at the 250 level event.

Time to retire or hire a shrink or both.

Rublev hit 11 aces but made tons of errors off the ground, never had a chance.

Murray d. Kyrgios by walkover.

Oh I forgot this was first round so Noah Rubin gets an LL and plays murray lol. Rubin is a hacker.

In Rubin's defense, it's ridiculous that his final round qualies match started at 4pm (went 3 sets) and then his first round main draw match started at 7pm.
