Maybe. It’s kinda sad this might be the end for him. He just made the qfs of Wimbledon. I think he should try to make one last go if he can get healthy again and compete. Sadly, I can’t see him competing at a high level over 40 with injury problems popping up now. I think he deserves to go for one last hurrah at slams (where he hopefully can compete at a high level).
I never liked Federer bc he owned my favorite player at the time (Andy Roddick) and nadal a bit in some slam finals other than the French. He truly may be the goat. He had a few seasons where he lost maybe a few matches each year which was just insane. I may be wrong but prime Federer would have beaten djokovic and nadal (just not on clay).
I’m holding out hope that nadal doesn’t let djokovic run away with the slam record but it’s looking bad. I’m just hoping djokovic doesn’t win the us open but I feel djokovic at top form will wipe away almost everyone. Only person I feel that can beat him is nadal but even he is having injury and form issues at the moment. Would love to see a nadal vs djokovic final at the us open where both are at the top of their games to really spark a goat conversation.
