Zverev can't even beat a guy hitting a bh slice like he's Fernando ****ing Gonzalez, how he supposed to win a Slam like ever?

so does everyone hit a slice bh against Zverev for the next year until he learns how to hit it?

It's really impressive that Serena can keep up with the #1 player in the world while running around with a butt that big.

How embarrassing for Zverev. Raonic hasn't been relevant since 2016.

Never. The thread title can only be an over-rated fraud.

Last year was Dimitrov, this year is Zverev.

Next year will be Tiafoe or Tsitsipas or someone.

Carreno Busta blow up on the chair was one for the ages. I partly agree with him although I'll admit I don't know exactly how the rule reads. I believe it's open for interpretation though which can cause all sorts of inconsistencies from chair to chair.

wait, what's going on with tie-breakers? How could Busta be up 8-5 in one?

And I'm really pulling for Danielle Collins....seems like a hard worker and a cool chick

At the AO they do a supertiebreak at 6-6 in the deciding set, so until 10 instead of 7

It's confusing because they now have a different rule at every slam, Wimbledon does a regular tiebreak at 12-12 starting this year, RG plays it out, USO regular tiebreak at 6-6

RG is the best way IMO but donks like Isner and Anderson have ruined that for Wimbledon.

Agree though they need to have the same rule across the board.

What ruined playing on forever was the fact that it's stupid and the only logical reason in favor of it is tradition.

Now it's just another reason why RG is the worst.

Tragic that the days of sets going to 70-68 are now over.

Wimbledon is obviously the best. Basically get an entire extra set to decide and if it can't be won by then a tiebreak in reality is probably needed.

there shouldn't be a tiebreak in the final of any major tournament. Going to 70-68 in a final would be awesome

Yup. +1 to virtually every Zverev-thread title post so far. I mean, I was a believer in the power of the thread title, but I didn't think it would be so obvious, so quickly, in the very first month of the year.

This. Actually, combining AO + Wimbledon would be perfect imo, a super tie break at 12-12.

But also this. Because the above is true for the very finals of a GS. The reason to have a 5th set tiebreaker in the earlier rounds is so it doesn't kill that player, and so that he can still have a chance in the next match, instead of just being entirely drained and exhausted (although he'll still be pretty exhausted). As well as not throwing the rest of the schedule out of wack.

But none of that applies to the final. There's no good reason to have a tiebreaker, even a super tiebreaker in the 5th of a GS final.
