Andreescu plays a half moon ball or lob shot a lot when the opponent is at the baseline. She's really good at getting it to bounce 1-4 feet from the baseline kicking up high with a lot of top spin forcing her opponent back 10-15 feet behind the line and often hitting it at an awkward shoulder height. Why have I not seen anyone else really attempt this shot before as it seems really effective at getting your opponent on the defensive really far back in the court?

Is it just other players aren't consistent enough at getting it to land close to the baseline without going out?

Fairly standard, goes back to Tracy Austin, who did it as well as anybody.

Last 2 games of the 1st set was a pretty hilarious set of events. Lajovic holds at love in 1:01, then Nick uncorks 3 beautiful aces within like ~25s. Breaks out the underhand serve and no look crosscourt pass to hold at love in like 40 seconds for the set!

Collins-Osuigwe 2nd round was interesting. Osuigwe is the top ranked u17, currently #187. She looks like an olympic track & field athlete who decided to switch to tennis, incredible court coverage, Monfils-esque. USA#1 has some great talent coming up with her and Anisimova.

Osuigwe kinda phoned in the 2nd set after losing the first set TB. The post match interview was classic Collins: "I just LOVE when the crowd is against me it really motivates me!!!" And everyone was like wtf because no one was rooting against her.

I'm revving up the hype machine for Osuigwe tho. She won RG juniors in 2017, supposedly clay is her best surface.
