6-2, 6-1.
FWIW, Tsitsipas did get to see a number of break points, but couldn't convert. (or hold serve himself, for that matter)

Why are they even going to play the French? Just give him the trophy ffs. Has to be the most forgone conclusion in the history of GS tennis.

Rafa is currently 1.5 to win the FO.
Pile on I guess.

Tomorrow is May 1 and at this point, so far, I am confident in saying this thread title is not delivering.

I have Nadal at +180 to win the French, what am I missing here? Is he that likely to get hurt?

+180 is absurd. He is currently -200 (1.5) on betfair.

It was probably a typo, and was meant to be -180. Any bets at +180 would probably be cancelled/free-rolled against you.
Even -180 was huge value though. Pinny is -241. (Could even have arbed it against the field at +201.)

People need to start using decimals, it's easily the best and quickest.

Zverev vs Chung from Munch semifinals on Tennis Channel now. It's a match that ended earlier today though.
3-0 Chung now, with 1 break (Chung served first).

Zverev rips off 4 straight games, and now it's 3-4 AND Zverev is about to serve.

Raonic in three.
Poll: will Dimitrov ever win another match ever?
Y/N
Also, tomorrow has Nadal / Monfils. I wish I could watch.

Nice win for elShapo over Paire in 3 sets. Weirdly elShapo's game looks pretty good on clay. The extra time actually helps his somewhat loopy strokes. Still banging unreal shots from all over the court and completely dictating the match. Playing on clay is really going to help his game.

Novak lost in three to Kyle Edmund.
Not the ideal comeback for the Serbian.
Monfils appears on his last legs vs Nadal. Dang.

Gael had two break points in his first two service games. Smart enough to roll over and not waste energy or risk injury once the result was never in doubt.

From the sports illustrated tennis mailbag column:
"In the spirit of continuing to bring out further incredulity over Nadal's clay court record, there is one metric that I don't see get much mention: For his career, Nadal has won 55 clay court tournaments against just 35 match losses. That puts his *TOURNAMENT* winning percentage at 61.1%. From what I can tell, no one else in the open era on any surface is over 50% (the closest ones I could find were Federer on grass and Borg on clay—both a bit above 40%). If you then take Nadal's most dominant decade (2005-2014, so 10 full seasons of tennis), he has a clay record of 42 tournament wins to just 14 losses, a tournament winning percentage of 75%. Nadal wins clay court tournaments at a similar rate that most other elite players win clay court matches. Add that to the Nadal clay court statistic comedy routine!"

elShapo takes out Raonic in straight sets. Honestly one of best displays of shotmaking I've ever seen. Incredible winner after incredible winner. If you are not watching elShapo every single chance you get you are doing tennis wrong.
