and so it begins....

Genie down 4-5, love-15, and ends up holding after multiple deuces to go to 5 all!?

What is happening? Is Genie clutch now?
ATP/WTA 2018: The Year of the Dimitrov Quote

then holds for the tiebreak!

Dodin serves it into her own court to double fault down 3-5 to make it 3-6.

Then Genie loses both her serve points to make it 5-6.

Dodin then nets a routine shot and loses 5-7. She out-choked her.

Sandgren is just a Challenger grinder. Nothing to see here. The real question is WTF is up with Pouille. He's been mostly a bum since beating Nadal.

tiafoe looks kinda fat for a 19yo pro player. also his bio says he's 6'2, i know del potro is tall (6'6 says google) but tiafoe looked tiny standing next to him. 6'2 seems like fake news

nothing kinda about raonic's fatness tho, guy looks lol

Man, Milos really fell off a cliff.

---------------------------------

In MURICA tennis news:

MURICA
Men's Tennis: 5-7*
Women's Tennis: 4-14

*Excluded was a match between Steve Johnson and Denis Kudla since they are both American (Kudla won)

American men's players remaining

Sam Querrey (13)
Ryan Harrison
Denis Kudla
Mackenzie McDonald
Tennys Sandgren
Tim Smyczek

Querrey plays against 80th ranked Marton Fucsovics. Harrison faces 34th ranked Pablo Cuevas. McDonald plays Dimitrov in the 2nd round (lolz). Kudla is against Thiem (lol again). Sandgren faces Wawrinka (more lols). Smyczek faces 22nd ranked Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

Should only be one American going into the 3rd round.

American women's players remaining

Madison Keys (17)
Lauren Davis
Nicole Gibbs
Bernarda Pera

Keys's second round opponent is 92nd. Davis should be favored over her opponent in the 2nd round, who is ranked 98th. Gibbs is facing Kiki Bertens, who is ranked 30th in the AO tournament brackets. Pera plays Johanna Konta next so lol.

Looking at (probably) two Americans in the third round.

Never ever got the love for Raonic, he's a one trick pony wouldn't exactly call it falling off a cliff.

so ya Milos said after the match that he didn't get re-injured, it was just fitness that had him walking around out there

really agree with the announcer who was killing him during the match, saying there's no reason to let your fitness go to **** when you're out with a left wrist injury or whatever, seems fairly inexcusable and unprofessional

no reason why he shouldn't be a top10 player, could be top5, dgaf ... sick life

He was ranked 3rd. Now he's 23rd and plays like he's barely worthy of the top 50. I'd call that falling off a cliff.

you're massively exaggerating

he was borderline playing himself into London at the end of last season before shutting it down

he just shouldn't have taken that last part so literally

guessing he'll be fine if he takes this as a wake-up call and starts to gaf again
