Haha... I don't think any national sponsors, even alt-right ones, are going to be lining up for a guy nobody has ever heard of.
He certainly would have gotten some tennis sponsors but I'm sure many of them will just back away at this point.
Very very dumb response on his part. All he had to say was "I got carried away on Twitter during the election. I deleted my tweets, and I'm going to stick with tweeting about Tennis from now on. Like about how fun this Australian Open was and how amazing all the fans were here and back home. I know not everybody agrees with my views on politics, but I want everybody to be a fan of mine and I'll try to earn your support. There are a lot of different views on politics in the locker room here and I always try to keep learning and evolving."
But instead he doubles down and attacks the media, in a way that doesn't seem true, which also angers the same journalists who are going to write the stories about him. And of course in the process turns off any liberal fans, which apparently is the
majority of US tennis fans. Really just not a bright response on his part.
