Thrilling final. How about that Kevin Anderson.

Grats to Rafa. Bit of a lacklustre US open with so many players out and losing early. Aus open easily the best slam this year.

So boring. Whatever.

The grand slam that didn't get its own thread it turns out didn't deserve its own thread.

Yes waa fun to watch. All of the guys really seemed to take to the team format.

Roger and Rafa seemed to be having a lot of fun playing together. It was fun to watch.

Yeah, it sounded awesome.

Imagine Europe had a fit team!

Wozniacki finally got one. 1/7 in finals this year.

lol at not liking Rafa/Roger. Any fan of theirs should watch their doubles match or their singles- pretty much everything was on display- skill, WIM, etc. Was just a ton of fun, they clearly like & have a ton of respect for each other.

Agree. No surprise that they two are the most popular players on tour an universally liked.

I was speaking to my auntie about the tennis yesterday and she said, if this tournament continued which she and I hope it will.

Will we get situations where home crowds of “world” would prefer to see Roger beat their own man? Crowd probably would be split but likely more favouring Roger. We have Murray but he’s not exactly the most liked globally.

I’d be curious as to what everyone else thinks?

Yeah lol world having to root against Roger and Rafa. No way that's possible.

I watched a fair bit of it and thought the format was a lot of fun.

It felt like the world's greatest USTA men's league match. Something fun for us normal folks that the pro game is missing is the team aspect; the camaraderie of being on a league team.

(For whatever reason the Davis cup sucks, but this was awesome).

Nadal cruises through Beijing, beating Isner, Dimitrov, and then destroying Kyrgios in the final. He's won 13 in a row. No posts itt at all during the week? I is disappoint.

Shanghai masters on now, should get a bit of interest.

Harrison

Played a great match vs Dimitrov today and had 3 match points in the final tiebreak. He's weird to me, can go so big with his forehand but a lot of time chooses to go with the controlled topspin FH instead. Reminds me of Roddick at his worst.

1 match away from Fed/Nadal! Don't think Roger has lost a set this tournament, and Nadal is riding a 15 match win streak. Both SF's should be sweet, with Roger looking for revenge from the USO against DelPo and Rafa facing off vs Cilic who is always tough on hard courts.

Both where good. I missed most of Roger v delpo because of the football. From what I seen Roger never really struggled on serve - lost 3 or 4 points in that second set. That with his back hand going to be what wins or loses the match. So tough to call.

Bloody awesome having the two of them fit again. Tennis just won’t be the same.

Here we go then. Can't call it.

First set to Fed 6-4 but the score is much closer than the match actually is. After breaking the first game each held their serve for the next 9 games, but Fed dominated. He served amazing and every single rally >5 shots he controlled. Most impressed by his attitude, not trying to beat Nadal at his game or even letting him get comfortable, instead just going for it, and it's working. Although it's easy to have that attitude when you're redlining everything. Best set I've seen from him since 2017 Wimbledon or 2015 USO F.

Roger 18 winners to 5 UFE

Rafa 9 winners to 8 UFE

You never see numbers like that

Serving clinic atm (especially from Roger), there hasn't been a deuce/break point since the opening game. And these are two of the best returners of all time.
